Overall great stay

Posted Mar 3, 2015
My husband and I stayed for three nights while vacationing to Siesta Key. Staff was friendly and helpful. The building is older, with a few hiccups, but they have done a good job renovating and making the rooms welcoming. We were satisfied with our room. Very comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed at a reasonable rate, and right across the bridge from Siesta! We would recommend and stay again!

Excellent value for winter in Siesta Key area

Posted Feb 20, 2015
Pros: Good value in a convenient location close to the public beach in Siesta Key. Friendly staff. Included daily breakfast. Easy to find. Main highway clos
Cons: The grounds are ok but nothing to rave about. Used the self laundry facilities and it definitely needs a little grounds attention in that area. Messy
Location: Location is excellent for going to Siesta Key beach. The hotel is near everything as it is on the road which leads to the bridge. There are a variety
The staff is pleasant and eager to please. Our suite was roomy and had sufficient luggage storage. The very reasonable room rate even included daily breakfast and maid service as often as you requested it. The hotel is an older property which has been renovated into suites and is in a very convenient area for going to Siesta Key public beach, restaurants, shopping and local attractions. Our suite was clean and everything was in working order. Parking is at or near your door and free. The pool area is very nice with two water fountains which cover the traffic noise. It is located on a very busy highway but we were never disturbed by noise at night. Overall, we were very pleased with our two week stay at Hibiscus Suites and would stay there again. If you are looking for luxury and the latest furnishings, this is not the one for you, but it has charm and many positive features.

Pros: The only redeeming feature is that it is close to Siesta Key. Within walking distance to the Siesta Key beach.
Cons: Everything!
Location: Really have to drive to anything of interest to see.
We stayed only 8 days in this hotel our of a booked 14. During that time, there was no bedding changed, no toiletries replaced, no maid service at all for two days in a row, the kitchen was poorly equipped, the furniture was old and curtains torn. It was not clean and in general very run-down. The breakfast was JUST ADEQUATE. The outdoor poor was not heated, but that was fixed in a few days. There were also police cars there a few times. Not very reassuring for a safe stay. In all, we would never go near the place again.

Weekend overnighter

Posted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: Very reasonable rate for in season. It had a separate living/sleeping room, full refrigerator, stove and microwave, plus utensils.
Cons: Maintenance needs to repair the doors and moldings as they were in bad shape.
Location: Excellent location. Walking distance to restaurants and the beach is right down the road. Shopping is across the Tamiami.
Spent one night in the hotel to check out the area.

Comfortable, clean and well positioned.

Posted Jan 13, 2015
Having arrived just before midnight we were pleased the check in procedure to be quick and easy. The suite we were given was spacious, clean and very welcoming. The Hibiscus Suites were in a great location, close to everything we wanted. Must say we encountered a couple of problems (door entry problem on our 2nd day and staff error during our first week) but these were dealt with quickly and efficiently and didn't spoil our enjoyment of the place. Thank you to Sandy, Denise, The Big Show, Rufus and all the staff (sorry didn't catch all names) for everything. Will certainly stay here again. Look forward to seeing you again, hopefully soon. Definitely recommend.

Liked. Close to beach. Very comfortable

Posted Jan 11, 2015
Pros: Bedroom is separate from living room-kitchenette. Has dishes and silverware. Beds comfortable. Clean. Very homey and furniture comfortable.
Have stayed here twice. Preferred 1st room with pull out couch, in case other person snored, but both rooms have been comfortable and pleasant. Close to Siesta Beach, and easy to find. Would stay there again.
