“Sarasota Hyatt Regency Stay”

Our bed was not as comfortable as at home, but the hotel is very clean, very neat, the service excellent, and the hotel is a great value and very conveniently located to dowtown, cultural centers, and the roads to the beaches. Our room overlooked the bay. The setting is lovely and the pool area beautiful. Our hotel room was spacious and very nicely appointed with conveniences such as coffee maker and refrigerator.

“Awesome getaway!”

The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed. It looked like they worked well as a team to provide every little detail you could need. My only wish is that there was no smoking in the pool area. it was so beautiful and relaxing but to be downwind from a smoker can ruin the experience. My wife and I stayed there last year as well. Easy to get to Armand Circle for shopping and dinners, easy to get to Siesta Key for beach time. Great hotel, great location.

“A Great Getaway for Two (or More)”

From the very start, the hotel staff aimed to please. Staff were friendly and helpful, providing menus for local restaurant favorites when we didn't want to leave the room to eat out. Breakfast (and sometimes lunch or dinner) at Currents was top notch with delicious food and great choices. The hotel was beautiful, true to the pictures we viewed online. The exercise room was clean and well equipped. We used the shuttle van service to St. Armand's Circle and also Lido Beach which made it convenient to visit these places. Hanging out at the pool was relaxing -- all in all everything was great! We'd definitely stay there again.

Great location near downtown and bay. Great view in room with balcony. Great pool. A mix of families, business travelers and couples which was comfortable at all times.

“Great hotel in a great location!”

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. I travel a great deal for business, and this place has everything the business traveler needs. The rooms are well-equipped for working, and there is a good business center for printing out materials. The fitness center is open 24/7 and has everything one needs to get a good workout in--both cardio machines, free weights and weight machines. Parking is free and convenient. The Hyatt serves one of the best breakfast buffets I've seen. The entire staff is extremely courteous and helpful. My one complaint (and this is minor) is that they have two levels of Internet service. Basic internet ($10 per day) is really slow and insufficient for downloading movies on my laptop. You can upgrade to premium Internet, but it's $24 per day. If this hotel wants to be truly great, they should consider offering the premium Internet to everyone for the basic rate (or better yet, give us weary travelers complimentary Internet!)

“BOTTOM LINE: AWESOME!!!”

The entire stay was awesome! The staff was very friendly, welcoming and informative about the area. We felt right at home. We do not live far from the resort and will definitely return in the future. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Thanks Pamela, Dwayne and Margaret!!

“Super-clean, super-comfortable, and free parking”

Highly recommended! Our room looked brand new and was extremely clean. A storm hit the night we were there but it was almost "excitingly cozy" to look out the large window at night and see the palm trees blowing in the wind and the rain! Parking is free in the hotel's parking structure but there are also about 12 spaces on the street right in front of the hotel that are also free. The cafe-restaurant is very plain-looking, the breakfast prices are on the high side and the portions are small -- in other words, it's typical ($15 for an omelet) -- but the food is truly excellent. We normally like a more traditional, homey lobby than the Hyatt's modern look, but because everything was so comfortable and accessible, it won us over. Great service, too. Very close to downtown, very affordable. We'd do it again in a heartbeat!
