Florida vacationPosted Jun 4, 2015
Pros: Pool and beach very close. Clean. Front desk staff awesome. parking garage. nice room w/ needed amenities. computer room.
Cons: Dining - limited menu, expensive. Waited too long for service, so we left and ate in town. Pillows not comfy.
Location: Aquarium just minutes away- we didn't have time to stop tho. TONS of shopping and restaurants just minutes away. beaches, beaches, beaches.
This was my family's first FL vacation. Thank God hotel was good as we arrived over 8hrs late due to flight delay Very impressed with Hotel upon initial arrival. Front desk Staff (Tucker) were awesome. Truly made us feel welcome. Our ocean view was awesome- it was actually as good or better than the website photos- when does that ever happen?? We had a great time relaxing either pool-side or beach side. Both right next to each other. It also had 3 (not 1) different hot tubs- that were actually hot. They were doing improvement work entire time we were there. It was at times inconvenient but since we were outside almost all day, it wasn't that big an issue. I wish they would've been more communicative on this issue.

Very nice place to stay in Sarasota. Close to shopping and dinning. Beautiful beach with rooms that are updated nicely. Dinning at the resort is too pricing but was good food. Would stay again and recommend

Perfect location but room need renovation!!Posted May 19, 2015
Hotel was in a good location with access to beautiful beach. However, rooms needs renovation ASAP. Beds are small and hard. Pilllows uncomfortable. Looks like in the 90's. There was a huge cockroach in the kitchen area when I wake up on my first night there..

Overpriced - Bait and SwitchPosted May 11, 2015
Pros: Great beachfront views
Cons: Disclose remodeling is being done and to expect noise
Location: Very close to shopping area
Paid over $600 for a Suite for Mother's Day. My reservation called for a Suite with 2 bathrooms as I have 2 kids, but was given a different suite claiming it was an "upgrade" as it was recently remodeled. The bedroom had no door for privacy even though the hardware was hanging. Sunday morning we woke up to the sound of a chipping hammer as they are remodeling the hotel. Hotel should disclose that they are undergoing a remodel and warn guest of some noise to be expected. Overall, very bad experience.

Motel style room with no privacy whatsoever !Posted May 4, 2015
Very noisy AC unit ! Room lucking privacy, facing walkway' motel style' . Shades had to be drawn the whole day ! Nice pool area and the beach, however , while swimming in the beach I had a 'close call' from the grey shark !!!! There was no warning from the beach/ hotel personnel about such possibility and no follow up after the incident ! There were at least 10 people who saw what happend and yet , no reaction from the hotel management ! Very scary experience !

Was great until our last nightPosted Apr 27, 2015
Stayed for 3 nights had been great until the last night. Was out all day got back a bit after 11pm to find out our AC was broken and it had been a 92 degree day so our room was 81 degrees called the front desk to find out that they didn't have a 24hr maintenance on call so the front desk said "oh that's not good but there is nothing they could do until the maintenance person came back at 7am" You would think that the money you pay for a room at a hotel like this would have someone on call. Told the front desk in the morning when we checked out and they did not offer to try and make it up to us!!!

overpricedPosted Apr 24, 2015 on Hotels
Not a 500$ a night room by any stretch of the imagination. Had a fire alarm go off at 830 sunday morning. There were no emergency stairwell chairs to evaluate, I had my 89 year old mother walking down 11 flights of stairs, There was no communication through out the Hotel during the evacuation, even when you get to the bottom, and they say, it was only a sprinkler valve that went off. you can go back to your rooms.

UnderwhelmingPosted Apr 22, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel is overpriced and underwhelming! I paid less to stay at the Bellagio in Vegas and we had a suite of rooms with three bathrooms which was cheaper than this place.
