Don't fall for the upgrade

I was contacted by Shannon and offered an upgrade from my ocean front to a larger unit but made sure on the call I would have a north view from an upper floor. Upon arrival I was placed on the south side and blocked by another complex. I asked to switch but they were full. I feel I got duped out of my room

Nice hotel!

First time at this hotel! I really enjoyed myself, a little older, but it was clean and the beds were very comfy. Would definitely stay again but would want a room facing the beach that has a balcony. Had fun at the pool area. We went for dinner at the grille on the 8th floor and had a great time. The breakfast cafe was nothing special. Overall, had a wonderful few days with my husband and friends.

Great Tiki Bar

Pros: Tiki bar; location; SUNDAY BRUNCH is FABULOUS!
Cons: Restaurant downstairs is slower than Christmas! Too much bleach used in the rooms.
Location: Wonderful location by the beach. St. Armand's is a great plus!
We have stayed at this hotel twice now. Last time (October) was better. The tiki bar is great addition. The restaurant downstairs is so slow you will starve to death waiting. The room was clean; however, there is an inherent feeling of bleach. Desperately needs more comfortable seating! The location is really what sells the place. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere.

Nice Hotel with great potential but over rated.

Pros: Not much, like i said it has great potential, but the owners are letting it fall apart.
Cons: Start with remodeling your baths and kitchens, and make it a vacation place or get-away that you would love to experience again and again.
Location: Every one must experience Marina Jack. Dinning on a very nice boat.
The Restaurant doesn't know how to cook food, very disappointing.

Amazing Atmosphere

I went here for my honeymoon with my newlywed Wife and we had such an amazing time. The staff was great and they took excellent care of us. The beach was beautiful and well kept as well as the pool area. The TikiBar is definitely a great place to hang out at, and their happy hour specials were very inexpensive. I would recommend this place to anyone who just wants to get away for a few days or for a nice romantic trip. Also, St. Armands circle is less than a mile down the road, which has amazing stores and restaurants.

Pros: the beach decent food in cafe
Cons: practically everything see above
Location: great location, st armands near and salty Dog food, ambiance great
Old rooms, noisy AC kept us awake, turned it off to sleep and noisy fridge took over keeping us awake, cracked floor tiles, peeling paint on baseboards are really a downer, stained cloth seat on dining chair. Seriously needs a huge makeover, maybe better to demolish and rebuild. A price comparison from this to Marriott treasure island or a nice inn at sanibel...it was $262 per night for 2 nights...those other places range from $149 to $212...over several stays, by comparison this should have $99 night. Walkway in front of room, sooooo, everybody walking by makes noise, lots of partying, disturbs peace wakes you up if it is late night...or early morning. beautiful beach tho they had a wedding on the beach ....nice...until the drunken wedding party came shouting, loud laughing, banging into the walls and doors getting into their rooms after 1 AM...My good luck they were next door !!! The GOOD...it only took security 10-15 minutes to get them into the room and quiet, thank you
