Wonderful beach, renovation needed

Pros: Clean hotel, friendly stuff, wonderful beach, pleasant complimentary shuffle ride from hotel to St. Armand Circle and pick up.
Cons: We did have a look into 2 different rooms. Both bathroom were in need of renovation, loose tiles cracks in sink and shower, moldy trim.
Location: Shops * restaurants at St. Armands Circle University Town Mall. Great beach!!
We spend one weekend (2 nights) at this hotel. We barely couldn't enter our room since the hallway was occupied by 20 Spanish speaking people having fiesta on the hallway in front of our room. The friendly stuff immediately gave us a different room, an upgrade to beachfront suite.

Great Stay

Our stay was five days and four nights and was extremely comfortable. The view from our room could not have been any better. Beach front view as well as views of both pools, one for families and a separate one for adults only. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. We had a junior suite with a kitchenette and full bath with shower and tub.

Generally a good stay, but the shower in our room was leaking. Also ordered food from room service and I'm still waiting for it a week later.

Pros: Location, and 2 swimming pools, 1 of which was adults only.
Cons: Description of room
Location: Free shuttle to lots of shops and restaurants
We booked through Expedia and was expecting a Delux room with a balcony.Checkin was slow and crowded, and when we were eventually given our room it was on the ground floor and looked out on a dark walkway. It was depressing. we complained and were then given a room on the second floor, overlooking the carpark and no balcony. This was the only other room available so we accepted it. When we later discussed our dissapointment with them, they blamed Expedia for the problems.

Celebrate 45 math birthday with some friends. The hotel is great and staff friendly the beach beautiful. Would stay here again in a heart beat!

A wonderful and relaxing oceanfront property. Kitchen efficiency was very helpful in preparing coffee/snacks/breakfast. Very comfortable and clean rooms for the age of the property. It's a very well maintained property in close proximity to St ARMANDS circle and downtown Sarasota. Would definitely come back!

Ok hotel with great view and beach access

Overpriced for what you get. Rooms could use better maintenance. Food and shop prices are insane. For a "resort" they offer very little for your money. Resort and parking fee is way too high for the quality of this location. The beach access is amazing and view is stellar.

Great place to relax and have fun

My wife and I went here on our honeymoon and had a great time. We were in a junior suite with a beach front view and definitely enjoyed waking up to that view every morning. Everyone that worked there from the front desk to the people that handed out towels were very friendly and always willing to help us. The food at the resort was a little pricy but was very good. One of the other things that we took full advantage was the free shuttle to and from St Armands Circle. I would recommend this resort to anybody.

Our stay at lido resort

Our room was in the old hotel, the elevator was the slowest I've ever seen, the room was old musky and just yuck feeling we never had parking in our area we had to park in the parking garage near the new hotel and then back to our room (not a pleasant experience with three sleepy children) dumpsters were taking up half the parking spots on our side of the building, there were too many of us to fit in one room so I had to get to believing they would be joined together they were not they were rooms 3 apart. would not go back did not enjoy.

Florida vacation

Pros: Pool and beach very close. Clean. Front desk staff awesome. parking garage. nice room w/ needed amenities. computer room.
Cons: Dining - limited menu, expensive. Waited too long for service, so we left and ate in town. Pillows not comfy.
Location: Aquarium just minutes away- we didn't have time to stop tho. TONS of shopping and restaurants just minutes away. beaches, beaches, beaches.
This was my family's first FL vacation. Thank God hotel was good as we arrived over 8hrs late due to flight delay Very impressed with Hotel upon initial arrival. Front desk Staff (Tucker) were awesome. Truly made us feel welcome. Our ocean view was awesome- it was actually as good or better than the website photos- when does that ever happen?? We had a great time relaxing either pool-side or beach side. Both right next to each other. It also had 3 (not 1) different hot tubs- that were actually hot. They were doing improvement work entire time we were there. It was at times inconvenient but since we were outside almost all day, it wasn't that big an issue. I wish they would've been more communicative on this issue.
