Great hotel on a relatively uncrowded beach

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Tiki Bar, beach, lounge, cleanliness of room
Cons: Would like to see some more moderately priced entrees on the restaurants' menus. A/C unit was a bit loud at night. Would prefer queen beds over full.
Location: Hotel is located directly on a great walking beach. St. Armand's circle is a nearby area of upscale shops and restaurants that is fun to explore.
Clean and comfortable hotel on one of our favorite beaches. Enjoyed the Tiki Bar area for drinks and a casual meal. Excellent beach chairs for lounging during the day and watching the sunset in the evening. Try to catch a drink in the intimate upper floor lounge; the view is fantastic. Staff was helpful and friendly. In-house restaurants have gotten a bit pricey, but meal in the "secret garden" of the downstairs restaurant can be very romantic.

Nice and not

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Half the hotel is old, needs updating, overlooks a parking lot with port a potty and trailers, tractor noise from the neighboring lot. The other half is upscale and newly redone. We were in the junky dirty half. The amenities, beach, shuttle to St. Armand's circle were fabulous. We suggest they clean the stairs, replace rotting molding, repurpose emply holes with grates where vending used to be.

Lido Key

Posted Mar 20, 2015
Pros: On the beach . Staff very helpful, haoppy hour, shuttle service.
Cons: internet service . Cut umbrella fee from $15 to $10 a day. We called the first day to have shower \bar tightend it was very loose. No one came all we
Location: St Armond circle, siesta key
Great hotel and great beach ! Staff was friendly. The entertainment on the 8th floor was worth seeing at happy hour and had a great view of the sunset from there. Shuttle service was awesome to St. Armonds Circle and the drivers were always friendly , but it is only a ten minute walk if you chose to do so. It is quiet but not too quiet . Great for couples and familiies alike. Bartenders could use a little chearing up and the internet service definately needs to be looked into. Susan working the concierge desk was very friendly and very helpful. Over all a great stay and we will go back

Overpriced Motel

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Tear it down and rebuild...
Location: Location was fantastic, right on the beach in the heart of Lido Key.
My wife and I both agreed that Lido reminds us of a Motel that we would stay in on college Spring Break. Only difference is, we paid $450 a night. I spend over 100 days a year in a hotel and I can say that Lido Beach is unequivocally the worst in recent memory. The staff was marginal, every request (which were few) seemed to be met with a burdened response. The room was abysmal - torn carpet, cracked tile, stained drapes, yellow stains on ceiling, dilapidated and loud AC, clogged shower drain. . To end my diatribe on a positive note, the location and beach were amazing, but certainly not worth the bloated price.

Expensive

Posted Mar 11, 2015
Pros: Accommodations and beach accessiblity
Cons: Less food at lower cost
Location: Ringling Home,St Armonds circle
Room, food and drinks are over priced. Accomadations were fine as was the staff courteous and helpful. However, I think the whole area is over priced. I have been vacationing at the Lido Beach area for 35 years. This is probably the last time. I will be searching for a new area to vacation in.Ten dollars for a mixed drink, $18 for an omlet, $5 for orange juice is steep. $120 for food and tip for dinner for two is more than I want to afford.

Outstanding view right from our room and balcony!

Posted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: Location right on the beautiful Lido Beach and proximity to St. Armand's Circle
Cons: More activities usually found at a resort
Location: Within walking distance to the wonderful St. Armand's Circle
We were very pleasantly surprised to see that the beautifully remodeled suite on the 12th floor which overlooks the Gulf of Mexico was just what the pictures on the website promised it would be!

Nice hotel on the beach

Posted Feb 17, 2015
I enjoyed lunch at the bar and dinner with a view on the 8th floor. Rooms were clean and kitchenette area well set up. We did have to wait until almost 4pm to get our room cleaned.

wonderful location but the room was disappointing

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: The beach, the pools, the spas and the Tiki bar were all great
Cons: our room was dated and had several issues (microwave and fan in bathroom didn't work) Twice I had to have front take re program my room key
Location: Location was fantastic! "The Circle" shopping area down the road was very impressive and fun
Overall a very nice stay. The location and outdoor amenities were fantastic. The most incredible sunset I've ever seen
