Highly recommend this resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the pool area was a perfect place to spend our days lounging in the sun listening to music and there was great service at the Tiki Bar. The food was excellent all around the resort. Really no need to leave the hotel, but if you want to there is plenty to do within a short walk or shuttle ride to St. Armands Circle and there is plenty of beach to explore. A great experience for our whole family.

Excellent location and accommodations.Posted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: Beautiful beach on the Gulf.
Cons: None come to mind. We had an excellent experience.
My wife and I enjoyed the convenience of walking out of our room right onto the beach. The sunsets are miraculous. The adult pool was very nice for those who did not have children with them. A second pool allowed families to enjoy the water diving for objects and tossing balls. The location was secluded and yet accessible to St Armand's circle for shopping and dining. We would recommend this hotel to everyone for a wonderful vacation. The staff is very pleasant and responsive to your needs.

Great location.Posted Nov 28, 2013
Cons: All rooms should be like 5008.
We just got back from this resort on Nov. 26th, 2013 after w week long stay. We were lucky to have gotten an upgraded room which was very modern. My other family members were originally assigned a regular room in the older part of the resort (the shorter building) but quickly upgraded to a nicer room in the tower next to us. Their room was upgraded and was nice but still didn't match the modern one we got. The resort is still in the process of doing upgrades with little inconvenience to the visitors. This resort is in a great area with St. Armond's Circle within a 10 minute walk. The resort provides a complementary shuttle service to and from the circle which is very convenient. The beach and pool areas are great. The entire resort is very clean and well kept. The food and food service was great. The food was served quickly and was always hot and fresh. The best part of this resort was the service. From check-in to check-out the people we encountered we're friendly and very obliging. We would definitely return to the Lido Beach Resort.

Good enough Hotel on the beach.Posted Nov 16, 2013
The LBRH is about a 3-4 star hotel overall, with a good location on the beautiful Gulf beach. Nice pools and tiki bar, staff is friendly and helpful. Overall comfortable and friendly. Rating would be higher but hotel is a bit worn and tired in some places. Was there for a family wedding. I would stay there again.

Great location. Nice staff.Posted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: The location was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their to be helpful with computer problems.
Location: Free transportation to central shops and restaurants. Hotel is very close to Mote Aquarium. Ringling Museum is just across the causeway.
Be aware that there are two sections to this hotel. There is a new section, and a much older section. The older section is nice, but not four star. All hotel facilities are available to both sections.

Great Hotel and next to the beach.Posted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: The beach and the wonderful restaurant. When you order it's good portions. You never leave hungry. The food is excellent.
Location: LaBarge boat ride was nice, especially the sunset cruise. Beautiful. Lots of great restaurants down town and not over priced.
The hotel was clean and very well maintained. We did receive an upgrade which was a great surprise and a nice one. We realize hotels can only do this when available but it it's great that Lido Beach does. It shows they care for their customers.

Decent hotelPosted Oct 1, 2013
Pros: Right on the beach, friendly staff. good customer service, especially Luis. Room was good size. Pools and hot tub looked nice. Outdoor tiki bar and two restaurants. We ate at the cafe and it was decent. They had a shuttle service, but we used a car rental. Very close to St. Armand's shopping circle. The beach is much less crowded than the public one right next door. Also, only a short drive to Siesta Key. Cons: We weren't notified of construction at the complex until we got there. Bathroom fan was broken, sliding bathroom door would slide too far, getting stuck. You pay $20 resort fee/day whether you want to or not, but we only got the microwave popcorn it pays for the first day. We got the bottle water it pays for most days. Could care less about popcorn until you say I'm paying for it! Outdoor ping pong table can be heard clearly throughout half the complex, possibly keeping you up at night. Mailed postcards one day that were delivered with metered postage. Asked front desk to mail more postcards on another day and none have been delivered weeks later. I asked the lady to put the post card postage on my room tab but no charge appeared for the second time and she didn't ask for my room number. I'm guessing she mailed them without postage or who knows could be a coincidental post office issue.

Wonderful location and SceneryPosted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: We loved the 2 swimming pools and enjoyed the hot tubs as well. The pools and hot tub were so very clean and the beach view was fantastic.
Cons: Parking was a problem for us but I guess they has so many reservations at this hotel I do understand. Going to the parking garage was inconvienent.
Location: I loved the hotel's location, right on the private beach, the beach itself was taken care of and loved the pools and so close to St.Armands Circle,
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at this hotel over the Labor Day Weekend. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation. Our Breakfast each morning was prepared well and the poolside Tike Bar was great and so were the men that worked the bar. The only complaint I have is the refrigerator in our room make lots of noise and we could not get a good nights rest because of the noise it made. We reported the problem to the front desk on the day we checked out and felt that we should have received some type of discount because of the situation, even a small discount for this inconvienence would have been appreiciated but the person at the front desk did not seem to care. Because of this I have the hotel staff 3 stars. Our room was very clean each day. WE do appreciate the ladies who serviced our room. They did a great job and were very pleasant.
