“This is not a THREE STAR hotel”
The rooms are clean, but old and way out of dated. It is more like a 2 Star Hotel. Would not go back. If you are looking for a room just to sleep in and move on it is OK.
“Some of the best customer service I have experience”
This hotel is sooo much fun. Live music, waterfront tikibar, and get sunsets! The staff is also incredibly nice. I will definitely be returning again soon.
“Not what i would call a 3 star at all”
The back of the hotel and overlook were pretty nice, but those rooms were unavailable to us. the outside bar looked pretty fun but we never went. So we have to judge this place on the room and service. While they were quick to accomodate us when we said we had asked for two beds instead of one, the room they put us in smelled a little funny (actually, the first one did too). There were tiny ants running around the sink. After we killed them they did not seem to come back. They never made the beds even after we called them and said they would get right on it. The room was ok but not as nice as any 3 star hotel room I have ever been in. If you get the back room, I would call this a 2 star with a view. Either way, we don't plan on coming back
“Great Value”
The view was nice and the front desk and housekeeping staff were extremely friendly. The hotel was a little older but for the price was an amazing deal.
“excellent service, lovely marina location, very convenient for road and air travel”
I first stayed at Ramada Sarasota by booking an expedia secret hotel deal and it was the most amazing value. I liked it so much I stayed on, in a room looking over the marina, what a beautiful view to wake up to. All the hotel staff were without exception friendly and helpful. The rooms are being systematically renovated, my room was clean, well furnished, comfortable bed and armchair, and quiet. There was also a microwave and a fridge. The breakfast is service is continental, you can take it outside to sit by the pool - how lovely. I did not go in the pool but its big and water felt warm, even on a cold morning. Arriving after 8pm, I ate at the restaurant/tiki bar - food was decent bar food standard and quick service. Sitting by the water, with a beer, listening to the boat sounds gently clinking, can't beat it. Although its so close to the main road, from the marina side I heard no road traffic and even the occasional plane going over was not disturbing. Highly recommended and I hope to go back.
“Sarasota Ramada needs updating”
This hotel is very old but clean. We carried our bags up 13 steps (no elevator); the outside traffic was so noisy since the highway is too close to the rooms. The breakfast was limited.
“Old Hotel - Nice pool area”
Nice sunset view from pool area and tiki bar. Hotel is old, bathroom is dirty, and small. They prefer you hang your towels and re-use rather than provide clean ones, and same with bed sheets, if you are staying more than one night. Understaffed is my guess.
“Not a bad motel, for the price.”
the only complaint I had was the security door to the second floor was broken, and I pointed it out to the staff, it still had not been fixed by the next day. Rooms were clean, had no other issues.
“Great Value”
Full service Hotel for limmited service price. We had a wonderful stay. Great place to watch the sunset. We even seen Manatees.
“Amazing hotel for the price”
Amazing hotel for the price. The waterfront view i just gorgeous. No complaints at all
