Went to Ringling Bros. Museum, Lido Beach and Mote Aquarium. The breakfast provided was good and staff friendly. Room was a little cramped for space. The first day, Housekeeping forgot to bring new towels, tissues and soap for bathroom.

Find something better

Way to big and old to be run with a skeleton crew. Staff is trying hard to make something from nothing. Facility needs a few million in upgrades

Was in area on business and needed to be on the way to office at 7 am. This is the 1st hotel that I have been to where they would not budge and open gym 1 hour earlier for me. I had to run at 5 am outside. Although it is on a busy road, the area doesn't seem to be the safest. There were some disgusting parts of the room, like by the outlet, that had lots of dust. Towels left on the floor were not replaced by cleaning staff. On the 3rd day. I was drying my hands on a washcloth. The 'breakfast buffet' should be advertised as a continental breakfast.

I thought it would have been better

Pros: Price was good, but I would not return.
Cons: Housekeeping, breakfast room was very small.
Location: Noisy with auto traffic.
Our stay started with a couple hours delay at check-in & went down hill after that. The room was not very clean and the "queen" beds were rather small. We had to go to the front desk all but one of night's stay to request towels, each time the desk clerk apologized and said they were out and would bring our towels to our room, which they DID. The location was noisy with the main road close to the room doors. Daily breakfast had long lines and the room was very small and crowded, we tried to eat there once, but never tried a second time.

Hotel with a view

Tourist season and nice hotels at a premium. Made reservation 4 days in advance and got last room! Nice young man at desk very helpful as we got to hotel at 10:30pm. Smiled! Room pleasant and very clean but carpeting could be replaced or stretched.... Marina delightful and restaurants all close by. Stayed two nights and would stay again. Very close to beach. though

Entire motel needs repair and refurbishing

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Stayed for 3 nights in February 2015. Drapes were torn and didn't hang or close correctly. There was rust on all of the metal surfaces in the bathroom. The shower curtain rod had come loose from the walls so the bathroom flooded whenever the shower was used. After reporting the broken shower curtain rod, and being away all day, came home late in the evening to find it still broken and no towels in the bathroom. Staff were polite and pleasant but overwhelmed with trying to keep an old motel running. Needs a lot of attention from Ramada's corporate office....a complete overhaul is needed.
