Exceptional resortPosted May 10, 2015
Pros: Location, professional staf and unbelievable amenities.
Cons: We loved it all!
Location: Perfectly situated to take advantage of lovely Sarasota, vibrant St. Armand's Circle and gulf beaches.
The Long boat Key Club is a most exceptional resort facility providing beautiful accommodations, excellent dining options, friendly & professional staff, wonderful amenities. The golf courses are beautiful and the tennis facility unbelievable! The tennis staff was really top notch with inexpensive clinic options from truly professional pros. I cannot say enough about this property and am so looking forward to going back!

Excellent choicePosted Mar 25, 2015
Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. Plenty of room for family of four, including one teenager. The resort was wonderful, and very relaxing. Service at the beach and poolside was excellent - never a problem getting a pair of lounge chairs and an umbrella, even though it was spring break. We also took advantage of the free bike rentals to head into town each day for lunch, without problem. Only weakness was that the rooms were somewhat (but not terribly) dated, but really wasn't much of an issue as we didn't spend too much time there. TIP: if you want to have dinner at one of the resort's nicer restaurants, be sure to make reservations with the concierge a few days in advance.

enjoyed everything,Posted Mar 4, 2015
Pros: most everything
Cons: earlier check in time, drop the gratuity tax on food and drink at the pool, good service deserves a tip, should not be forced to tip..

Nice resort. Good service. Great beach. Pleasant sPosted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Spacious suite
Location: Not much only the Ringling Museum. State park at Myatta is good if you like nature. Golf and tennis. Restaurant food in the area is very poor. Robert
Our overall experience was good. The hotel claims to have several dining facilities but in effect there is only one at night and poolside light food daytime. For the number of rooms would have expected more.

Overcast on longboat keyPosted Jan 2, 2015
Even the rain and overcast skies couldn't dampen our stay ay LBKC. The staff was upbeat , the facility was inviting , and the setting was perfect. Plenty to do on the premises, as well as in the surrounding area. Of course the Gulf provided a great back drop. Hope to be back soon.

Somewhat tired hotel on beautiful beachPosted Jan 2, 2015
Room rate was very high relative to quality of room which was dated and not finished luxuriously. Water damage to under vanity cabinets. None of electrical outlets in bathroom worked. Average age of guests skewed over 65. Food on site was an afterthought.
