Beautiful location!Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: I loved the pool, the friendly staff, and being on Lido!
Cons: The rooms are dated and could be improved
Location: A little more than a mile from St. Armands a destination shopping and eating spot.
I was at Sandcastle on Lido for just a few days and was very happy with the hotel and will be going back next year. The rooms are dated and in need of updating but it was clean and well maintained. The maid, Nancy, was outgoing and friendly. The full sized outside pool was awesome as was being able to walk outside to the supplied beach chairs and umbrellas on beautiful Lido Beach! The shuttle service to St. Armands was very convenient. Loved this place!

Great beach and great pools.Posted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: The outside and the restaurants. The grounds are lovely.
Cons: The rooms need an overhauling.
Location: Close to St. Armand's circle which was convenient. Also the van to and fro was great.
Loved being on the beautiful beach. Great pools. Rooms need to be refurbished.....new carpets and curtains. Bathroom is small and yucky.

Most relaxing vacation in years. Beautiful, soooo clean, beach and water were unreal, pools perfect, staff extra-ordinary. Already booked for a fall vacation. Would go back anytime.

Pros: The staff, the food, and the activities on the property. Bicycles, ping pong, shuffle board, paddle boards. Loved the Tiki Bar!!
Cons: Our room was too small and felt cramped, so we didn't stay in there much. Could use a makeover.
Location: St. Armand's Circle is close by
Wonderful vacation in Sarasota. Gorgeous weather and location on the beach. Staff is incredible and there are a lot of fun things to do that are included in your stay. My family loved "charging everything to the room" and having a lot of freedom on the property.

Great resort on beach for affordable price. Private beach in one of the nicest stretch of beaches in the USA. White sand, best sunsets ever witnessed.

Just change the price of the roomPosted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: Beach location.
Cons: Rooms and facilities are old and tired. Needs a major renovation.
Hotel is now charging a "resort fee" of $25/day. It is supposed to cover things like coffee in the room, towels for the beach, lounge chairs, wi-fi service, etc. Don't they know that all hotels offer these amenities?? This hotel does not offer anything in terms of service that I would consider a resort. If it weren't for the beach location, there would be no reason to stay here. So quit adding the up charge and just adjust the room rate.
