The grounds and private beach were beautiful. The room was very functional and had everything we needed. Not fancy but perfect for a low key stay. The sunsets were outstanding as were the owners.

Nice hotel close to the beach.Posted Dec 10, 2014
Pros: Location, quiet, non-smoking inside and outside, had kitchen - could eat breakfast and lunch in - more time at the beach!
Cons: Noticed showed signs of wear - bathroom and some of the doors - needed paint. Satellite TV hard to figure out stations even with guide in the room.
Location: Beach location. Some great restaurants on the Key and St. Armand's Circle - shopping and dining.
We had a relaxing weekend on the beach and enjoyed this quaint "cottage" like inn. Better than we expected. Plan on staying there again.

Great Find !Posted Dec 2, 2014
Pros: It was small, not crowded which made our stay even more enjoyable..
Location: All of Sarasota just minutes away !!
Was just a wonderful experience to find a gem in the middle of all those big hotels. Quiet, really comfortable, clean and beautifully updated room, more that we expected... Just a great stay, wish we could have had a little more time to enjoy Longboat Key...

Laid back and right on the beach.Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: They have kept the laid back beach feeling even though surrounded by large condos.
Cons: They are keeping up with making improvements
Location: The best thing was being right on the beach in single cottages. The drive into Sarasota is jst a few minutes.
I was nurtured by the sound of the waves and the beautiful gardens.

Two nights at the Sandpiper InnPosted Aug 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
The Sandpiper Inn is a small hotel and that is exactly what I wanted when I was looking. The hotel is on the beach a very large beach which is also well maintained. I must say though we were a smite disappointed with the pool it was small very small. I would goback to the Sandpiperif I were in the area again.

Beautiful Beach! Friendly people!Posted Jul 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
Beautiful beach and friendly people in a quiet area of Longboat Key. Loved the area, loved The Sandpiper Inn, and we will return soon! Very clean and well furnished---with new mattress, too! The owners Chris and Harold are very accommodating and take great pride in the "little resort." Loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. AND beautiful sunsets!

Direkte Strandlage, ruhig aber knarrendes BettPosted May 20, 2014 on Hotels.com

BeachPosted May 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
Was doing some business in Sarasota and decided to stay at the beach. Beautiful grounds, well appointed room, great nature and beach. Several convenient restaurants and shops.

Quite and relaxing with miles of beaches........Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Location was great! Right about the middle of the island.
Cons: No "breakfast set up" on site. The local place "Harry's" up the street doesn't open until 9AM for breakfast. Take your own coffee, eggs and bacon.
Location: Off the Island at Lido beach, a great place to hang out. Food, food, and food. FREE PARKING! WOW
A cute little place around million dollar homes with access to private beaches.
