“Don't stay here if you are expecting too much.”

The staff was super nice and helpful and the location can't be beat but we will not stay again. From mouse droppings in the closest next to our extra pillows or the smell of urine in the carpet or the hairs leftover from the last guest--it was too much for us to stand.

“An inexpensive stay at a comfortable hotel”

While this was no five star resort, it served my needs and had an outdoor pool and spa that were very nice.

“Great location”

Hotel was terrific and Expedia got us a good rate.

When to go

Beach was beautiful, but already a little chilly in early November. But hotel had heated pool, so it was fine.

“Great location, less than great hotel”

Badly in need of updating and a good cleaning. Grounds clean and nice. Pool and hot tub nice, and warm. Right next to beach and all the beach bars. Location is this hotels best quality.

“Poor condition overall”

Excellent location across from beach. Overall poor condition of room and furniture. Kitchen, appliances, coffee maker was pathetic.

“Siesta key resort”

“Location Location Location”

The hotel is old however it has a certain charm to it. The price is great! The location is amazing. We stayed 4 days and did not have to drive anywhere. Everything you need at walking distance, gorgeous beach, bars with great live music, restaurants,ice cream shop, book store etc... I miss it already. Can't wait to go back. Reserve the jacuzzi room- you pay a little more but the room is much better than the standard.

“Beach Oasis”

It is not a new hotel, but location was wonderful. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, extra towels and we just had to walk across the street to go to the beach. Dinner was right next door. Good too. A wonderful stay. Would possitively go back again and again.

The beach is like heaven, can walk on the sand in bare feet, beautiful white, clean, wonderful experience, Great shell hunting, wonderful people on the beach from children to my grandmother. Bring an umbrella for them. Loved everything about the trip, can't wait to take my daughter there again.

“Best Location”

This hotel was situated right in the village of Siesta keys. The management was so helpful. You do not need a car and the beach is just a walk across the street. We had room 107; an efficiency which I think is the best room in the house. Do not pay any attention to neg for this place. I`m telling you it is the best.john

Area recommendations

The bus goes right into Sarasota for 75 cents.Catch and get off right in front of the hotel. A taxi cost $35.00 for the same trip.There are tons of restaurants and shops on main st in Sarasota.
