bradenton hotel near I75

Pros: close to I-75
Cons: needs a make-over
Location: a block from I-75; Lake Manatee state park about 8 miles. Plenty of fast food and restaurants near by.
not a two star hotel - one star; staff was fine but this hotel is dilapidated. Lamps shades were very dirty and not secured. One lamp by the bed could not be turned on as the switch was missing. Pillows probably haven't been changed in a long time as there was no cushion. TV old and had picture issues. Need serious renovation.

This is not expedias fault but I was extremely dissatisfied with the sunrise inn....i called the place ahead of time to check on the reservation and to let them know that I would be there late that night because I was on the road driving I from south Carolina....they told me that someone was always there and would answer the phone at any hour...at around 2am I realized due to being extremely tired there was no way I would make it there so I pulled into a rest area and attempted contact with the hotel numerous times with no answer. I finally arrived at around 7am after a couple of hours rest and asked them if there was any way possible to just move my res to that evening and they said no...i asked if they were booked solid either night and they said no...so I asked if they could just extend that day and they said no...i finally took the room for two hours so I could just shower and than that evening I checked into another hotel....i can understand standing your ground if your booked but by their own admission they were not...they were quick to charge my card but unwilling to work with someone and just change the res....unfortunately for this I will no longer use Expedia for my travel needs because of this hotel in your network.....i travel constantly but have always used one of your competitors travel sites but a coworker talked me into trying you out and it was an experience I will never forget

i CERTAINLY UNDERSTAND HOW FRUSTRATING IT MUST HAVE BEEN DRIVING THAT LONG AND HAVING TO SLEEP AT THE REST AREA. WITH THAT BEING SAID, WE DID CHECK OUR PHONE RECORDS, AND THERE WERE NO PHONE CALLS COMING IN AT THE TIME YOU MENTIONED. POSSIBLY YOU MAY HAVE INADVERTENTLY CALLED A WRONG NUMBER. IF THIS HAPPENS IN THE FUTURE, AN OPTION MAY BE TO CONTACT EXPEDIA IF YOU CAN'T REACH THE MOTEL AND THEY MAY BE ABLE TO RESOLVE THIS SITUATION BEFORE IT BECOMES A PROBLEM.

terrible hotel

Pros: I was able to park at the door of my dumpy drap room.
Cons: Tear the place down.
Location: I did not feel secure there
This hotel for the price of 75.oo was the worst and when my bank statement comes through I am going to dispute it. You have the nerve to even deal with this dump. The only good thing I can say and I mean the only good thing about this dump was I was able to park my car right at the door to my room on the first floor.

Pros: Nothing to share.
Cons: Renovate bringing the facility up to date. After all this is 2015.
Location: Location is good.
Very dated, bugs, run down with numerous maintenance issues. No bed bugs!

Horrible experience

did not even stay, desk clerk was rude and unprofessional as were his "friends hanging out in lobby"...loud screaming and talking from other guest by Windows...room smelled moldy...refused to stay ,was told to bad still hae to pay or cops would v e called...and they wanted in cash only after i had already booked thru expedia!

I am extremely sorry for your bad experience. This is a small family run motel, however, rudeness is never acceptable. I would like to know what time you checked in because we accept all major credit cards. This would be helpful in addressing the correct personnel on this issue.

Pros: They work to check me in early.
Cons: Need to have continental breakfast.
Location: Just off highway 95. Waffle house and Sonnys BBQ
We check in early, wife wanted to take a shower. No wash cloths, etc They deliver to room after 2 PM. Front door had a gap in the bottom app 1/2" high. Door did not lock properly from inside the room.

Pros: It was a large room with microwave and refrigerator
Cons: Cleaning crew needs to be more alert
The room size was nice, but the bathroom door frame was only partially painted. There was an old bandaide someone had left on the floor (gross) .... that was not cleaned up from a guest before.
