Nice beach front property.Posted Feb 14, 2015 on Hotels
I stayed with my mom and two kids. We loved the location and the hotel. He property has 7 or 8 units. We were on the ground floor and had a nice patio with a table and two lounge chairs. The pool was right outside our door and the beach was only 20 yards away. Chairs and towels were provided. It was so nice not to have to drag our beach bag a long way to the beach. The room was clean and nice. Very nice kitchenette. We stayed in a studio. It had a Murphy bed and sofa sleeper. This is not the Ritz, but if you are looking for a peaceful getaway right on the beach, this is it.

huge disappointmentPosted Feb 13, 2015 on Hotels
Horrible! When I checked in no one was there so I had to wait. Beds beyond uncomfortable. No coffee refill. When both sofa bed & Murphy bed pulled out there was NO ROOM. Took my credit card but no restaurant or amenities. My room was prepaid through hotels.Com. Tried to check out to make sure zero charged. Gave up waiting. Tried to call rental manager, never reached a real person. Never staying there again!

You get what you pay for...no morePosted Jan 21, 2015
Room was very small, closet included a water heater which was below the clothes hangers, so anything longer than a shirt would drape onto the heater.

Great little hotelPosted Jan 15, 2015
The hotel was clean, quiet, and right on the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel. Loved having full size appliances.Posted Dec 31, 2014
I had booked on Expedia, so when we drove to be there during the hour window check in, the office had already closed. I was hoping for a live person to ask questions of, but there was a key waiting so it was ok. We stayed with our two adult kids. The studio suite room was a bit small for four adults, once the beds came out. The bushes (from 1st floor view) inhibited the ocean view if you wanted to sit in the beach chairs on the patio. Lovely landscape though. The office staff was very nice. I would stay here again, but would opt for a place that houses 6 instead of 4 for a family of 4 adults.

On beach, nice room.Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: On the beach, free parking.
Cons: Bathroom do over.
Location: Quiet town but beach is gorgeous.
We checked in as office person was leaving. Never saw another sole again. Rooms are directly on a quiet beach. The room we had was well appointed and nice. No frill bathroom. Most rentals are more that a hotel room like we had. I would stay here again. Location cannot be beat and room was comfortable with small kitchenette with furnishings.

Meh, it was "ok" at bestPosted Nov 22, 2014 on Hotels
all rooms face the gulf of mexico. we stayed in room 224. i went with a friend and her daughter. the sofa bed was pretty bad. the murphy bed was pretty nice. the worst part was, the tv was in the corner, near where the headboard of the murphy bed was. so if the murphy bed was open and you wanted to lie down, while your friends want to watch tv, it's a no-win situation. the tv sound blars into the murphy bed, and the tv is tucked into a small corner making it hard for people to watch the tv. so if the tv problem was fixed, it would be HUGE. also there is way too much furniture in this room. in an efficiency set up like this, there is no reason to have a rectangular table that seats 4, plus a round table that seats 4. also, our room had teeny tiny ants, so be sure to hide all food in the fridge and cabinets. i will say, the room was pretty clean. we opted to not have maid service and the maids were nice enough to still leave us clean towels daily. the room is pretty dim too. we had all the lights on and still felt in the dark. so to sum it up, this room will do okay. there are much better, there are much worse. also, not too much happening in this part of town. longboat key is an old money kind of town. next time, we'll be staying in siesta key.

Horrible bust. Although clean, the room reminded us of a jail. In brief: No curtains, tv had unclear picture, disgusting paint job, rusted furniture, no storage closet or mirrors. Not only will we never go back to The Beach, but we will never use Hotels.com again. You lost our confidence and trust.
