1st time traveler did not know what to expectPosted Nov 25, 2013
Pros: The turquoise walls reminded me of the days of Leave it to Beaver and Gilligan's Island.
Cons: I'm just not real comfortable with "your room isn't ready, head on over to the village for a drink. We'll leave your door unlocked and the room keys
Location: The beach is the reason to come to the key. A journey along a sandy path through seascape vegetation leads to sugar sand and calming surf.
The facility is quaint and the staff is pretty laid back. There are no commercial hotels on the beach so choices are limited to mom and pops and condos. It's probably a place geared towards families and it provides the basics for a beach stay. It's old time Florida so get ready to enter your time machine. The beach is stunning and the village has a number of laid back restaurants and bars. If you are around on Sunday, check out the drum circle. Nothing is cheap on the Island and gas up before you cross the bridge.

Great stayPosted Oct 31, 2013
The idea was to be as close to the beach as possible. Booking the place the night before, we scored; as close to the beach as I could find for a nightly place. The "beach house" feel is something of a novelty we agreed on finding, and Ringling delivered. Nice touches from an attentive staff helped to make our beach vacation very memorable, in all the right ways. Nothing over the top, or extravagant, just right.

Comfy and Close to village and beachPosted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: Walk to Village, short drive to public beach, walk to upper beach area, like staying in a beach home. Decor was nice.
Cons: Master Bath was lacking hot water, other bath was fine. Heated pools needed to be warmer. Baths and kitchen need a little up dating, but very clean
Location: About a 5 block walk to Siesta Key Village for dinner, shopping, nightlife, etc. Sports rentals a few miles away. Beautiful beaches and water.
We felt like we had our own house in Siesta Key. Large rooms, very clean, comfortable, leather couches, big screen TV, full kitchen, dining room, 2 pools, floats and chairs and towels to bring to beaches.

Lovely little hotel!Posted Oct 1, 2013
Pros: Location was perfect: close to beach, restaurants, shops. It was clean and pleasant and there are two pools on site! and they provide beach towels!
Cons: More hand and face towels
Location: Close to the shops and restaurants of Siesta Village, close to public beach, easy drive to Sarasota
While it isn't truly a hotel, it is a wonderful and hospitable place to stay in Siesta Key. It's a small apartment complex with various sizes of quarters to rent. My husband and I rented a two bedroom, one bath apartment with a kitchen and small deck. It was the perfect size for the two of us. The rooms were very clean, pleasingly decorated, and equipped with all you might need for your stay. There are beach umbrellas and chairs for your use and the beach is a short walk across the street; easy to gather your stuff and head out for the afternoon. There are also two pools on the property. During our stay, we had three (yes, three) days of rain. Rima came by with a packet of brochures for rainy day excursions! So thoughtful. She also recommended a lunch spot, Siesta Key Oyster Bar, or SKOB as it's known locally. It was delightful! And, upon our arrival, we were welcomed with a tote bag full of everything needed to go to the beach: snacks, sunscreen, water...awesome! Would recommend highly!!

Great relaxing vacationPosted Aug 26, 2013
Cons: Deck furniture needs waterproof cushions.
The location is great with the beach access across the street (it was flooded most of our stay). The shops are just over 1/4 mile one direction and Siesta Key Public Beach is maybe a 10 min. walk the other way. We pretty much had the small pool to ourselves the whole time. The room was spacious and clean. I loved that the deck overlooked the pool. Everything seemed recently updated. I also appreciated the beach accessories provided to your guests. Staff was very helpful and nice. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Siesta Key.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We very much enjoyed having you with us. We strive to accommodate our guest needs immediately -whether it be responding to any questions they may have or suggesting dining locations, shopping, museums, paddle board and bike rentals - ANYTHING we can do to make our guest feel right at home! I am so happy you enjoyed our property during the end of summer season . On our tropical island we can experience summer showers that although unfortunate during your stay - are part of Florida summers. We were grateful for the bit of rain we received while you were with us as we have experienced drought conditions for almost 2 years and are still on water restriction for plant watering. One of the first places affected by the rain fall is the beach accesses and public beach - this happens because our island paradise is at sea level and very flat. These areas tend to be low and gather water however by noon the following day these puddles are usually dried up due to our powder like sand. Our location across the street from the beach access is perfect so our guests can walk right across the street to the beach as well as enjoy a short 3 block stroll to The Siesta Key Village for shopping and dining! It's also so nice to be able to enjoy our 2 pools - and we love it that we often hear "it was like having our own private pool" because we have 2 pools for so few units to share....not to mention the really large "pool" ( The Gulf of Mexico) just across the street. Thank you so so much for staying with us and we look forward to seeing you again very soon!

Excellent choice for family stay in Siesta KeyPosted Aug 6, 2013
Pros: Location, decor, amenities, friendly staff
Cons: Provide additional towel/clothing racks for drying wet things both inside and outside the units.
Our party of 8 stayed at the Ringling House and had a wonderful vacation. Our party included young children and seniors and the property was an excellent choice for us. The unit was very spacious and had nearly every amenity that we needed. The staff, particularly Natalya, was very accommodating and kind. Everything around the property and inside our unit was clean, tastefully decorated and carefully chosen. It was obvious that the staff has taken a lot of time and energy to be highly informative and friendly in regards to every aspect of the property and units. The pools are very clean and nicely decorated. We opted for the towel exchange service given the size of our party. Most guests would probably not need the service because they provide so many extra towels in each of the bathrooms. The Beach House is just a short stroll to the beach and about a 10 minute walk to the Siesta Key downtown where there are plenty of diverse restaurant choices, fun shops and entertainment for young and old. We love Siesta Key and have vacationed here several times over the last 10 years. I can easily say that Ringling Beach House far exceeds the other properties we have stayed at on many levels. I would definitely return here the next time we visit. Thank you!!!
