Pros: The staff were very helpful and the cottage had everything we needed.
Location: Beautiful beach opposite with sun beds for Tradewinds Easy to get around using the free trolley bus which is every 20 mins
Our first visit to Anna Maria, we loved Tradewinds and have booked again for next year.

Nice quiet stay near the beach.Posted Oct 13, 2013
Pros: All on one floor. Very clean and staff were nice. Quiet and decorated very nice.
Very close to beach and trolley stops right out front. Great weather and very nice pool. The people we met there were from England and very nice. Traveled by trolley to Anna Marie Pier and many eating places. Great vacation spot. Will be there next year for 2 weeks.

The Tradewinds was an excellent choice!Posted Sep 17, 2013
Pros: It was immaculate and had great ambience. The complex was adorable...like a small street with the cottages done in old Florida style. Very charming.
Cons: We couldn't sit out on the front porch because of the rain dripping on us but otherwise we had no complaints.
Location: Plenty of great restaurants and the beach was across the street. The private beach was beautiful. They provided towels and beach umbrellas free.
The three day trip was for a short relaxing getaway--and it was all that and more. The resort was close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. Very clean, quaint, cozy and private. The only thing I didn't care for was that the interior walls were paper thin and we could faintly hear conversations of our neighbors and I am sure they probably heard us! We had two dogs and occasionally they barked which caused us concern that the neighbors might hear them. But all in all, we loved the resort and would go back without hesitation. The rooms were clean and it had everything we needed for our comfort.

good stay at tradewindsPosted Jun 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Would recomnend staying at tradewinds resort. Beach access across the street was nice and convenient. Only downside was the shells in the sand hurt feet. Room was as expected/based on pictures. A/c was noicy at nite but room was clean and cool. Pool had a great view of harbor.

Charming, clean, nice people, great location.Posted Apr 9, 2013
Pros: My favorite things about the hotel were the flowers everywhere and the great location.
Cons: Honestly, I can't think of a single bad thing to say.
Location: S-bound trolley stop is across the street; N-bound stop is just a few steps north. Beach is across the st; Gulf Drive Cafe is only a few block South.
When my husband and I pulled in to the driveway, the first thing I noticed was this beautiful little yellow cottage with a pergola over the front door that was spilling over with these amazing blue flowers. It was so charming; and, as luck would have it, that ended up being our cottage! I was thrilled. The other cottages are also painted cheerfully and the landscaping is lovely. There are palms and bougainvillia and jasmine. The pool was a decent temperature and was very clean, and the access to the beach is right across the street! There were always plenty of chairs, towels and umbrellas available to use. The south-bound trolley stop is right across the street from the entrance, and the north-bound trolley stop is just a little bit to the north. Our cottage was clean as a whistle, and the daily service was extremely efficient. We loved our stay, and we would recommend this establishment (and Anna Maria Island) highly.

The Tradewinds is a very nice cottage-hotel that feels like home at the beach. Can't wait to return again next year!

Last minute stayPosted Mar 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had to book a couple nights in a place we had not stayed. Overall we were pleased. Our cottage was close to the road so a bit noisy for us at night. Also had to cross the busy road for the beach. Our room was clean but the bottom sheet was missing. The staff did apologize and correct the next day. Would consider if in a pinch
