Hotel is undergoing construction (migraine fest!)Posted Oct 14, 2014
Cons: There should be a mention about construction going on so people know what to expect as far as noise pollution.
On the day we checked in, there was a wedding ceremony happening at the beach. The beachside was jam-packed with people and the wedding party along with chairs set up on the sand, etc. The room we were given was facing the construction site of their front office plus right next to the area which appeared to be a laundry room (judging by loud sounds made by maid service dragging carts on wheels with dirty towels on the paved area every few minutes). No reprieve since the beach was crowded and it was also too noisy to stay in the room. To top it off, construction workers started hammering and cutting wood with electric saws bright and early. What a total waste of money this miserable vacation was! At the check-out I mentioned some of the things that made our stay so unpleasant, but no attempt from them to rectify the situation.

Great hotel close to beachPosted Sep 30, 2014
The hotel was updated, clean and just as we expected in the photos. It's a short walk to the beach. The only issue we had was finding the check in office but that was no big deal. We'd definitely stay here again.

Close to beachPosted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: Beach proximity
Cons: Better check out time
Location: Turtle Beach, several great restarants
Fairly good location to restaurants. A bit of a drive to many other things to do. Great location to Turtle Beach, also.

Pros: beach, pool
nice overall, however bed needs to be replaced! To much noise at nite, thin walls!

Not on the beachPosted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Cute to look at - nice pool, nice grounds, clean room, great kitchenette, comfortable beds, nice quiet AC, free parking, free internet, flat screen TV
Cons: Beach amenities should be ON the beach - no carrying to and fro. Check rooms to see guests are behaving.
Location: Cat Depot, St Armand's Circle, Ca d'Zan all wonderful and close. Eat at Bonjour French Crepe restaurant on Ocean Drive on Siesta Key.
The room was well decorated and the kitchen had everything you could need. Nice and clean. Beds very comfortable. Quite small - the kitchen was like two feet from the bed. Easy check-in and check-out. The hotel is not ON the beach - you walk down a road then another pathway in order to get to the beach which is beautiful. I never saw the beach chairs or towels or umbrella that you could get free and then you carry them quite a long way to and from the beach. If you do not want to carry then you rent them from a person at the beach. If this is a beach resort this should be included AT THE BEACH without the carrying part. Unfortunately my neighbours at the hotel left a lot to be desired - it seemed to me that there were a LOT of people in one room with lots of kids who made plenty of noise all day long. No sleeping in late and forget an afternoon nap. Hotel personnel should have checked the number of people in one room so as to make it comfortable for all guests. Aside from this negative which in not entirely the hotel's fault, it is well-located, the room is quite nice, the beach relatively close. Free parking for one car is included. Siesta Key is gorgeous as well as nearby Sarasota.

Tropical Delight!Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: see above
Cons: hot water in shower umbrellas in case of rain - they lent us one, but it was slightly broken
Location: see above
the grounds were lush and tropical as well as close to a very lovely beach with sand like powder. The staff could not be more pleasant and helpful. The rooms were beautifully decorated, nicer than some fine hotels. Lovely pool - especially for night swimming. Loved the complimentary coffee, cookies, and lemonade. Lots to do in the area. Loved Curts pub. Don't miss Drum Circle on Siesta Key public beach at sunset on Sundays. Only recommendation: you may need more kitchen supplies. Also - would have appreciated water in shower to be hotter. We will be back to stay in a larger room-sundeck! Can't wait. September is a fantastic time to visit.

GREAT ROOM, BEACH NEEDS HELPPosted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Everything else was great.Clean pool, rooms. Staff was very nice.
Cons: CLEAN THE BEACH AREA
EVERYTHING WAS GREAT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE BEACH. The entire coastline of beach was cleaned of seaweed and other items that washed up on the beach with exception of the beach area for Tropical Beach Resorts. I can say that unless that is taken care of, we wont be returning there, it was pretty gross.
