“Nicely laid out with landscaping and common space, convenient location”

Friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Room was airy and clean; the kitchenette had full-size fridge. We had breakfasts/lunches on our little patio outside the room; lots of common areas to sit among the nicely landscaped grounds with lots of palm trees. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location and very close to the long, white sand beach and restaurants, so no car needed to get around. Would certainly go back in an instant!

“siesta key”

First time in Siesta Key. The stay was very cool. Siesta Key is very compact and almost everything is within a few blocks. Room was very nice. Actually way beter than expected considering price and some reviews I read. Next time I will spend a few more days

“Fun, Comfortable, and Convenient”

I decided to spend a couple of days on Siesta Key at the last minute. Not wanting to stay at a "name brand" motel, i picked Tropical Breeze because it sounded—and its photos looked—unique. I was not disappointed. The motel is actually several separate buldings covering most of a block. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. I only reserved a normal room, but still had a full refrigerator, microwave, and dishes. The television was a tube-type, but I didn't come to the beach town to watch television. (Still, the signal was good and plenty of cable channels.) Wifi is also free, and the signal was fast and strong. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower with a bench, an adjustable shower head and plenty of water pressure. There also were a couple of chairs situated on the patio outside the room (they're all ground floor) and a large bbq grill shared by several of the average-house-sized buildings on a common courtyard. I had a room about in the middle of the property, which meant I was a block and a half from Siesta's Key's business district (including many restaurants) and a block and a half from the beach. While I also got a temporary permit to be able to park on the street, I was so close to everything, it was hardly necessary. The staff was very courteous, fast, efficient, and cheerful. Awesome! And when I got to my room, there was a welcome letter, with my name hand-written on it. I will always come back to Tropical Breeze Resort!

Area recommendations

While there are very good (and fun) restaurants all along Ocean Blvd, along with decent vacation shopping venues, the beach is the main attraction. There are plenty of places to park, even if you don't have an on-street permit, and the beach is huge and sparkling. Siesta Key is an island, so only a short drive south will take you to places to rent bikes, kayaks, or parachute rides. There are plenty of amenities at the beach(es), and you can choose between full-service to isolated...and still enjoy the beautiful Gulf waters.

When to go

Like most of Florida, it's hot in the summer and busy when the Snow Birds fly, but 'tween seasons (like early Fall), it's beautiful, still warm in the sun, and with warm water. In busier seasons (I've been there during "Spring Break") it can be hard to find a public place to park, but some restaurants have valet parking. There are lots of parking spots at the multiple beach entrances, but in-season, go to the beach early for the best spots. Just remember, it's a white (quartz) sand beach, so the sunlight reflects even under umbrellas. Wear lots of sunscreen.

“Very near USA #1 Beach”

Was very happy with the nearness to the #1 rated Beach in the USA. Beach chairs and umbrellas were provided and carried to the beach for our pleasure. Overall it was a very pleasing experience.

We rented a car but everything was within walking distance and bike rentals were nearby too.
