Worst $138.00 I ever spent!!!!!
Posted Jan 29, 2013
Pros: pool
Cons: Staff, housekeeping, hospitality etc........................
I have been renting rooms from Tropical Breeze on Siesta for over 12 years. It had been a couple in between. I have wonderful memories of staying with my sisters and celebrating many birthdays at the resort-all more fabulous than the last. I booked a room as a gift for my boyfriends birthday two months in advance. I had not realized it was Memorial Day weekend. Big mistake! First, I called to see if there was a possibility of early check in and the woman on the line says-"I don't know!"....followed by an awkward silence. I was shocked she was so rude. She then asks for my last name and put me on hold for over 6 minutes. I arrived at the resort and hung up. I walk in and the woman at the desk is screaming 1-5-2!!!! into the phone. "Is room 1-5-2 ready!?!" I approach the desk and ask early check in availability....she says "Oh, I put you on hold." She then tells me she needs a vodka. I ask about parking and there are NO PARKING PASSES available-----$138.00 and I can't park in front of my room? She tells me there is free parking 3 blocks away behind a bar. She looks out at my car and asks how many people I have with me. I didn't feel it was her business what my plans were for the day...which were to enjoy the beach with my sister and nieces and nephew then my boyfriend and I go to room. I explain it to her. The pool was locked up for a reception the day before, no towels in the room, and the bed had 2 flat sheets and no fitted .Also the door was broken.

Spring getaway

Pros: The accessablity to the strip on Siesta Key and access to the beach
Cons: Chairs and umbrellas for the beach, not enough for all the guest.
Location: Great
We had a great time, the only issue I have is that for a resort this size they only have a limited 20 beach chairs and 4 umbrellas. We had to be on the beach between 7;30 and 8am, to get a chair and umbrella, First come first serve. For the price of the hotel, you would think they would invest in at least a sufficient number of chairs and umbrellas for all their cottages. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, the rooms were clean. i will probably go back.

Pros: Great pet friendly set up, great pet friendly beach 2 blocks
Cons: Install constant temp valves for showers
Location: Located in nice club and shopping area
Tropical breeze resorts have nicely renovated cottages and a few efficiency apartments..my hot water was available , but needed constant adjustment. Room was clean, AC adequate if a little loud..staff very friendly and helpful..great value with the full kitchen !

Already planning a return trip!!!!!!
Posted Jan 22, 2013
Pros: Location, Friendly staff, price, charming
Cons: Not enough umbrellas or beach chairs
Location: Walking distance to everything, no need for a car.
We loved Siesta Key and cannot wait to return and we will be staying at the Tropical Breeze Resort again! This hotel is in the perfect location allowing an easy walk to the beach or the village. If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay to relax and enjoy what Siesta Key has to offer, this is the place. It is welcoming and charming and everything you need. If you are high maintenance and prefer luxury, this may not be the place for you. If you are laid back and prefer a relaxed beach feel, then go ahead and book...you will not be disappointed! We had everything we needed and I liked that we had our own private entrance with a screened in porch. My only suggestion is that more umbrellas and some kind of beach chairs are offered for the visitors.

Tropical Breeze Resort - Siesta Key Florida

Pros: minute to the beach
Cons: trouble getting shower water temp to regulate
Location: can't beat the location, minute to the beach, shops and dining
Great place to stay, highly recomend!!! Friendly, helpfull staff. Walking distance to the beach is literally a minute or two!! You can't beat this beach!! The closest you will find a nicer beach in the USA is in Hawaii!! The beach sand is like talcum powder!! You will find no other beach like this. The sand is crushed quartz from the Appalachian mountains and even if it is 110 degrees outside the sand will NEVER burn the bottom of your feet. And the sunsets are absolutley gorgeous!!! Great restarants and shops are also all within walking distance. We just left and we CAN NOT wait to go back!!!!

Pros: BR suite cottage was private in good location.
Cons: Lack of communication and the sense of lack in customer service from management. General staff more professional than them.
Location: Good public trans to get out of the village when you want to explore somewhere else. 1st trip no rented car. Awesome public beach,
Tropical Breeze Manager & MI (manager in charge?) could of been more pleasant and helpful. The house keepers and other office workers were nice and friendly. Minor dislikes: Our court yard fountain was not working and room phone did not work. In office i was asked to press 0 to let staff know when I left room to meet a staff member at beach to get a chair. Only 7 umbrellas available, go to beach 830am for one, 1st come, no list, even though the information states you can be on a list. The beach is close at the end of road but it is the narrow section. That is where the chair which had a broken seat section (last one) was delivered. Best: The public beach is AWESOME and the location convenience near village is good. Shop owners are great, coffee bean & Oyster Bar (David) waiter & Pharmacy & food market very kind.. Wear sunscreen, with the great breezes it is easy to forget. MI service friend Joe rude too, best to keep him out. Have a good day & life comment bit spineless. Rent bikes from outfitters not Robin Hood, better bikes n cheaper with get service with outfitters.m
