In transit stayPosted Aug 29, 2014
Wonderful location to enjoy the waterfront and to explore the history of the Bluewater Bridge. Also near walking trails and on a gf course that guests can play at discount-course runs along waterfront. Good restaurant, fitness facility, pool and, while very famy friendly, also good for older travellers. 5 minutes to border crossing so s perfect place to end your day before crossing k to the US. To top it off, very profession, helpful and pleasant staff.

Overall, nice enough place to stay.Posted Aug 27, 2014
The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a bit outdated and could use some maintenance, but it was clean and fine. The air conditioner in the room was really loud, but at least there was one. The pool and hot tub seemed fairly well maintained, and the breakfast deal was a pleasant surprise in terms of food quality, even if the service was just alright. Overall, if you are looking for somewhere to stay but on a tighter budget, I would recommend it.

Old and stuck in the 70sPosted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Proximity to the border as we were crossing in the morning.
Cons: In relation to the room we stayed in - EVERYTHING. Fixtures, cabinetry, tiling, beds, carpet, drapes, walls (paint paper)...Horrendous!
Location: Not the purpose of our stay
Booked based on hotel room pics posted online which seemed clean, reno'd, modern. However, our room was a disgusting archaic outdated room that was run down and literally as it was in the 70s. There was nothing that had been updated.

Better than Super 8, but $25 more per nightPosted Aug 19, 2014
I recently stayed at a Super 8 in London, ON then a couple of weeks later stayed at Holiday Inn in Sarnia, ON. While there was no comparison of the facility -- Holiday Inn was markedly nicer inside and in the room, it was also $25 more per night. Overall, I felt Holiday Inn was over-priced and Super 8 was WAY over-priced. It's just a place to sleep for a night, I'm not buying the place or moving in.

Disappointing RoomPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: swimming pool, breakfast, friendly staff
Cons: work needs to be done to the old section, ...get rid of the old carpet, paint, get rid of the damp musky smell
I believe there are a new and an old section to this hotel. We have stayed at this hotel before and most likely will again, but be sure to get a room in the new section. This trip we stayed in the old section and the room was musky, smelly, with a stained carpet. The bathroom was so small that the door barely missed the toilet upon opening and the base of the toilet was not cleaned properly. Tiredness stopped us from changing rooms. On a better note, the pools are great ( indoor and outdoor), and the morning buffet was a great deal as the kids ate free.

Nice hotel, close to the bridge to USA and SarniaPosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The staff was nice and the housekeeping
Cons: The walls need isolation so we couldn't hear others.
Location: The location is good, we were 20 min away from the camp that we had planned to visit. There are restaurants, parks and beach near by.
Our stay in this hotel was good. We booked two nights in a king bed room. The room was clean and the bed comfy. The bathroom was clean as well, we enjoyed taking showers. The only bad thing that i didn't like was the fact that the walls are too thin and we could hear our neighbors fighting at 11:30 pm when we wanted to go to sleep. I would isolate the walls if it's possible, except that, everything was great.

Nice but needed more spacePosted Aug 4, 2014
We booked a room for 2 adults and 3 children and included their ages but when we arrived, tired and easy for bed, there was only room for 4 of us. They could not offer us another room because they were full. We asked for extra bedding and put him on the floor. I asked for a roll away bed but was told there was not room for one. This was true. Staff was pleasant and courteous.

Overnight stay in SarniaPosted Jul 25, 2014
The hotel room was what we expected. It was nicely decorated and very clean - believe me I look! Everything was very comfortable and we both had quite a good sleep. The location was very peaceful, no loud traffic. I would recommend this location without hesitation.
