Sasayama is located approximately 25 miles (40 kilometers) north of Kobe and about 260 miles (418 kilometers) west of Tokyo, Japan's capital.
Hyogo is firmly established on the tourist trail, which means getting around is relatively easy. Be sure schedule in sufficient time to experience the many scenic and cultural wonders the region has to offer. Approximately 15 miles (24 kilometers) away is Nishiwaki. Set aside a day here to enjoy the Dojiyama Park and Kitaharima Ecomuseum.
Approximately 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the south of Sasayama is Kobe, an important regional city which is home to Fruit Flower Park, Port of Kobe and Sawa-no-Tsuru Museum. Stamp Museum, Mount Rokko and Kobe University (Shindai) are other good places to visit.
Those with a love of history won't want to miss the area's fine old ruins, castles and old towns. Whether you're an atheist or one of the faithful, you're guaranteed to find a little serenity at Hyogo 's shrines and other sites of spiritual significance.
Admire Hyogo in a completely new way. Join the birds and try paragliding. Finding one of the city walking tours, culinary tours and guided nature walks is an interesting way to understand about Hyogo.
