family reunion

We had our first ever family reunion and much of it was held at the Radisson. Overall we were very happy with the hotel. We were so busy we had no time to check out the surroundings around the hotel.

Great staff - excellent experience

Pros: Very friendly staff. Accommodated special requests too. Very comfortable beds.
Cons: Small washrooms but nothing can be done about it.
Location: Near the river and park.
The staff at the front desk, lounge and restaurant were all very friendly and helpful. One night in lounge after a very busy day the kitchen staff gave our order to the next table who came well after we had ordered. Although not being impressed and having to wait for a new order being made the waitress not only apologized several times but gave a discount. The kitchen server also came out with new order and apologized and took responsibility for the error. I was impressed at taking accountability and making it better despite us having to wait for our food order.

Seems hotel does not agree with expedia

Pros: this is a great hotel with walking distance of anything you would want in Saskatoon
Cons: Do not book a room with 2 double beds as it does not exist in this hotel
Location: there is a park 1/2 block from the hotel which connects you to many walking paths along the river. There is a shopping mall 3 blocks from the hotel
When I booked the hotel I was charged a premium because I requested 2 double beds for 2 people. It was also billed as a scenic view. When I went to check in I was informed that the hotel does not have any rooms with 2 double beds and I was given a room with a pull out couch. When the couch is pulled out all you have in the main part of the room is a walkway to the bathroom inwhich to move. The hotel does overlook the south saskatchewan river, however our room overlooked downtown (not the better part of downtown). I was not offered any relief for the premium charged for the room, as I was informed that this was a great rate. I was charged an additional $15 a night for parking. The hotel is very nice and has everything you are looking for in a hotel. It is within walking distance of anything you would want downtown Saskatoon. Just disappointed about paying a premium for something the hotel does not have.

Hotel was great. Only thing we didn't like was parking. 15 to park underground and we took the last spot available down there. Would hate to be the guy that couldn't find a spot.

Nice, clean & friendly. Swimming an gym are the only reason I picked Radisson hotel. The price was affordable.

Hair clumps in the tub, shower broken

Huge clumps of long black hair in the tub and plugging the drain Shower button broken and came off in my hand Hotel deducted parking, $14 cause I never used the shower till after I slept the night

Stayed one night. Rooms were clean & comfortable. Great location. Breakfast is hotel restaurant was delicious. I would stay here again.

Deceptive

We arrived around 12:30am to the hotel. Met with the front desk personnel who didn't speak clear English. I paid for my room in full prior to arriving and he asked me for a credit card and ID. At no time did he tell me he was putting $100 per night stay which was $600 on my credit card. I was very shocked to find out that when I tried to rent a car the next day and got declined. When I called the credit card company they said the hotel authorized $600. I then asked the personnel to reverse it but they were not able to and at the end of my stay he proceeded to tell me that it takes up to 5 days to go back on my card. This is soooo unacceptable. I am truly not happy with this and was not aware of it at time of check in. We were also with canada cup that week and we asked him about the shuttle and to our surprise he had no information about it. My son's first game was at 9am and no one had any idea of the shuttle. Very disappointing. The internet throughout our stay was very poor. The only way I could connect was in the lobby. Also advertised laundry facility but no machines. All in all very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to any families for next year's canada cup.

With each check-in we do a pre-authorization of $100 for incidentals to the credit card presented at check-in, per stay not each day, this was an error on our part and I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced due to this error. I have followed up with our Front Office Manager who has refreshed the front office associates on this process to ensure this doesn't happen in the future. Unfortunately the Canada Cup shuttle service was for participants only and our hotel was not supplied with the schedule. We have noted this for the next tournament held in Saskatoon so we can be sure to provide the information for our guests. On our website and in our hotel we offer a 3 hour expedited laundry service, this is a valet service we do not have a laundromat on site, I apologize for the confusion. We hope to be able to welcome you to our hotel again in the future. Sincerely, Patty

Beautiful hotel

I had a great experience at the Radisson hotel in Saskatoon. Room was clean and stylish. The view was wonderful overlooking the Saskatchewan River. Staff were very helpful. I would give this hotel a thumbs up.

Not a good experience.

Pros: Nothing during this visit
Cons: I have booked in advance and was later getting into the hotel, and my rooms not ready. I feel we should have been compensated for their poor service
We arrive around 4:30 pm and our room was not ready, won't be ready for another hour. We were off to an engagement and could not wait the extra hour, ended up with what they say was an upgrade, had a room booked with 2 queen beds, upgrade to a single queen bed and said we got a view of the river. Not much of an upgrade to me, just to look out a window and see a river a couple of blocks away. They had no interest in help me out, just comment this was the best we could do.

I am so sorry to read that you did not enjoy your time with us and that we had a delay at check in with the room not being ready when you arrived. The team at the hotel is committed to delivering excellent service and a top notch experience but it appears we were not able to stay caught up with cleaning rooms the day you stayed with us.
