Riviera - a sleeper hit!

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Besides being a clean room the two main factors that made our stay worthwhile were a comfortable bed to sleep on and the air-conditioner was cool enough to enjoy our sleep!

easy access

Pros: clean room, comfortable bed
Cons: individual balcony instead of shared
Location: restaurant/lounge next door
Hotel needed for concert, very reasonably priced, was actually less than quoted.

Got locked out!!!

Posted Jun 11, 2013
Pros: Good beds!
Location: Was moderately quiet - kids running in back hallways after 11 pm.
Keys would not work one hour after we arrived. We stood outside with a 94 year old waiting for someone to fix the keys - and finally after two trys use a pass key to get in the inside door with a pass key. Could have been better.

Good basic motel.

Posted May 16, 2013
Pros: Location. Comfortable bed.
Cons: When it's busy, parking could be an issue.
Location: It's on the corner of Idylwyld and Circle Drive so premium location for traveling and concert goers.
The rooms in this hotel have been upgraded and modernized. The beds were comfortable and the shower was good. It's in a good location for travelers. Its on a busy corner but the noise level in the room was fine.

Decent motel

Posted Nov 23, 2012
Pros: shower water was hot and the shower head had a strong flow
Cons: flickering lighting in the bathroom and dim lighting in the room
Location: location ok and central to where I wanted to go in the city
I had a decent experience at this motel. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was a little shabby but overall ok. There was some noise from outside but not enough to prevent me from having a good nights sleep. I was a little surprised that it was a motel - the information on expedia led me to believe it was a hotel.

A god budget solution with great beds

Posted Jul 25, 2012
Pros: beds
Cons: area is not visually appealing
Location: convenient to everything
This is a budget solution, granted, but a good one. Location is towards the north end of town, good for heading off to explore, but 8 min from downtown. The beds and bedding were exceptional: I have stayed in lots of 'fancier' places where those were quite inferior to the Riviera. We'd book it again, for sure.

The hotel was great!! Very comfortable and accomodating. Rooms are a little small for four people but they were clean. Very quiet hotel. Had a great sleep on those pillow top beds. Will definately stay here again.

How not to book a room...

Posted Mar 14, 2012
I booked this hotel through expedia without knowing the name of it. Booked for 2 people and when my husband got there it was only one bed. The room was charged to my visa by expedia and then the girl at the front desk said there was a problem with them and she ran my husbands visa through again. Pretty sad when you get charged twice for a room with one bed instead of two beds. Staff needs to get a grip on what is happening with the bookings.
