Pros: Beautiful location, accomodations, and friendly staff
Cons: It is a bit pricey. A light fare food and drink availability would be nice for lunch and then after dinnertil 10 pm for late arriving guests, daily
Lovely setting. Quiet. Peaceful. Very comfortable. Taxi was $75 francs for the 7km from train staiont to hotel but hotel provided card for free public transportation in Geneva.

Didn't live up to expectationPosted May 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
I arrived at the hotel after a busy day of meetings at about 20.00 to be told that the restaurant was closed and there was no food. There was a cafe' 10 minutes walk' away- but as a woman travelling on my own, and after a herd day's work, I did not want to do this. After some discussions reception arranged me some 'bread, cheese and sliced meat'. This was ok for me, although not exactly what I had been hoping for. My shock was the following morning when I checked out, to be told that the price for this food was 60 Francs. It was literally 3 bits of bread, 5 slices of cheese and some sliced salami- I was outraged! In terms of my room- it was very clean, but very small, quite dated, horribly warm and smelt strongly of smoke. I told reception of this, and they said it did not smell and there was no smoking on the premises! (Blatently not true as there was an ashtray in the room!). overall a disappointing stay in what is ultimately a lovely location. I am sure that if you were able to dine in the restaurant, then this would obliterate the dated nature of the rooms (rust in the bath etc).

Gourmet restaurant, charming suitesPosted Apr 5, 2013
Pros: The restaurant, the suite, the surroundings.
Cons: Everything was fine.
Location: Nicely kept Domaine, antique farm house, vineyards, Rhône river, the Alps, not a long drive to downtown Geneva.
This a Famous Restaurant with a beautiful hotel. This is a Relais & Châteaux hotel. Each room is charming and has its luxury, and the view can be to vineyards and/or the Rhône river. Staff was nice, the surroundings are marvelous. And, yes, you need a car if you want to stay there, but parking is free!!.

Charming Hotel in GenevaPosted May 15, 2011 on Hotels.com
The Domaine de Chateuviex deserves all the stars. It is a great small hotel on the outskirts of Geneva overlooking the city, vineyards and the Rhone river. The restaurant has been awarded two stars from "Guide Michelin". If you want tranquility close to the city, this is the place for you.
