We were in the area for a family funeral.

Pros: The beds were comfortable.
Cons: An update in decor of the rooms.
Location: Sault Ste Marie, MI. home of the famous Sault Locks.
Arrived on the evening of 4/24 and left the following morning.

Nice rooms, fridge and microwave in the room, and pool temp was around 85 degrees. Would definitely stay here again!

Good location for everything and easy to find

Pros: The location.
Location: Mainly checked out the ships.
I do not believe we received a senior discount. The gentleman at the desk,, when we checked in, said it looks like you got a good rate. That rate was not a "senior discount" rate. My grandchildren could have gone on and gotten the same room price. There was a loud bang outside the no one at the desk knew what it was and anyone said anything about it. The first time we heard it was 3:00 a.m. and about 6-7 times during our stay and was at no particular time. It happened during the night, the day time and in the evenings. Very upsetting. Also the light about the bathroom sink came on whenever it pleased and sometimes not at all. We stayed in room #108. We missed breakfast the first morning as the end table clock was not showing the correct time.. My husband woke up and said it's 9:15 which we never sleep in that long. So we got up, showered and went to a near by restaurant and at that time discovered we were there at 9:20 and later checked and seen the motel clock was set an hour ahead.

In reviewing they were booked through Expedia. As for the loud bang we have construction going on beside our location on both sides. There is no way to control the noise outside during the night. I am very sorry in regards to the breakfast. Our breakfast runs from 6:00am to 9:30am. The breakfast was still set up when the customer left the hotel they were more than welcome to eat our breakfast. The front desk clerk will ask anyone that is there at 9:30am if they are finished and she will start tearing it down. The light in room 108 has been looked at and nothing was out of the ordinary. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

No juice at breakfast the pool area was disgusting people drinking in the area of pool hot tub way to hot. Will not be staying there again sorry

cheap hotel

Cold rooms, lots of mold, intrusive staff, very loud, the only good thing was the breakfast buffet. Dog pee all over the sidewalks. Gross.

Great location and price. We were looking for a low cost hotel with good location to Lake Superior State...easy access to everything.

Okay hotel. Outdated and not very clean.

My main issue is shush the cleanliness of the room. The bathroom was not good. Visible mold/mildew on the ceiling...the entire trim around the bathroom, not just one spot. Rusted fixtures throughout as well as in sink area in room. In the room, dust and hair along edges of room by the floor. Only a half a roll of toilet paper left in room. Went to find replacement, had to walk to front desk to get it.

The breakfast was lacking and the area for breakfast was barely more comfortable than the outside temp. The bathroom was dusty as well.

liked the room, especially that the wash basin was separate from the shower/toilet; did not like the stairs; the noise level on the second floor was minimal; close to stores where I needed to go
