No beach area in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan

Pros: I would stay there again....
Cons: That door I mentioned definitely needs to be fixed.....
Location: Considering it was in Sault Ste Marie, MICHIGAN, it was located in good area.
Only thing about the hotel is that the outside door we used to enter the hotel for our wing of rooms, did not lock and it backed up to an empty concrete area with two empty semi trailers setting in that area.

Hotel staff

Was not impressed with the staff- had a problem with the tv and the repair guy was rather rude to us. Started telling us to calm down and talking about how we can do without our shows for a little while. Was very rude - then owner ? Came in and said he just needed to turn the wire not remove it. Told is 2 times he had to drive 50 min to get there. Wanted to say we waited 1 hour for our tv to get fixed. We actually didn't say a word and he just was down our throat. Have stayed there before with no problem- going to give it one more try.

We would not stay here again.

Pros: The bed was comfy.
Cons: Most everything else.
Location: It is on the outskirts of Sault Ste Marie and the lock tours etc are near by.
We stayed just one night and glad we hadn't booked more. The whole place is pretty rough around the edges. Stains on walls. A sopping wet towel was left in the bathtub. The room smelled like wet dog and did realize as we arrived that pets are allowed for an extra charge. We never tried the included breakfast as there were only 4 tables in the area for the use of the entire place. No place to sit and people stacked up waiting for food. We were glad to leave in the morning.

We actually have six table plus a bar area for guests to sit at while eating breakfast. Yes we do allow pets as most places do now a days however they are a set group of rooms that are only pet rooms.

Pros: pool,breakfast ok
Cons: newer tv,better wi-fi connection,better housekeeping
Location: excellent location, handy to shopping & restaurants
could not get tv to work.no way of knowing it had to be on channel 3 to view.it was on channel 37 & remote did nothing.Front desk clerk came to room with universal remote & got it working. could not connect to wi-fi until front desk rebooted router a few times animal hair on carpet was not vaccumed up

Good location for sight seeing.

Overall, a decent room that could use some updating. The room had a heavy odor to it, as if someone sprayed a large amount of Fabreeze all over the carpet. Very annoying, almost making it hard to breathe.

Pros: Quiet!!!
Cons: Cleaning Staff could be more attentive.
Location: Easy to get to and not far from all the attractions of the city.
Very nice stay.Only at 79 years of age I don't think we needed to be on the 2nd floor. The desk staff very nice and helpful. Iwould stay there again.

Stinky noisy room

Room had a weird damp smell to it. Kept shoes on until I went to bed. Fridge had to be unplugged as it rattled too loud to sleep. The one in the room above us was just as loud. Wifi did not work. I got the "oh sorry" when I told the front desk. They might as well have said "oh you're still here?" Not again.
