The hotel location was super convenient, the rooms were small-ish but the beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Breakfast wasn’t great. I would definitely stay here again.

Good location but the AC was not working and the room was hot. Unfortunately the street is an echo chamber and there was some kind of concert in the town that went to 2 in the morning so not much sleep

Centre of city
Great location in the city centre. Helpful friendly staff on front desk. Buffet breakfast had good selection to choose from. No tea or coffee making facilities in room which would of been expected. Great overall though.

Noisy hotel in the city of Angers
I didn't sleep well... Room is very small compared to photos on website & walls are very thin so you can hear your noisy neighbors all night long !!! Breakfast is ok but there is not a lot of choice. Hotel have no parking but you can park in the street for free during the night. I will not come back again

Comfortable hotel in a great location
Check in was a breeze, and the desk staff was pleasant. As we are traveling by bikes throughout Europe, we had requested a secure spot for our bikes. Upon arrival, we learned that indoor storage would be €5/bike - not a big deal but it was a little bit of a surprise. The room was small but comfortable with all the standard amenities. Breakfast was typical French fare and was just ok. The hotel is located in a very central area with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Overall I would give the Continental Hotel a thumbs up and would recommend.

Welcoming stay
Smaller hotel, on a busy street but with secure underground parking a minute away. Staff where very welcoming and helpful. Room was extremely clean and well presented. Breakfast was relaxed and very good with a varied selection of food available. We only stayed for one day but would use hotel again. X

The Perfect Place At The Perfect Price

Clean, comfortable and conviniént
The Continental is a classic hotel here! It’s super clean, comfortable and convenient. It’s next to the Galleres La Fayette and less than a minute walk from the center of the city. And a ten minute walk from Chateau D’Angers... a real castle! Loved the hotel and the city!

Great Location
I stayed at the Continental Hotel for 3 nights, enjoyed both the Hotel and the City. My only criticism is that the restaurant is not open. The breakfast buffet is very good. The location is excelent.

Would not stay there again. Parking a challenge and situated on a road that linked two busy areas creating a thoroughfare and a lot of noise.

Recommended mainly for location. Pleasant staff
No complaints at all. Nice helpful staff. Could not have a better position only yards from the main square. Pleasant comfortable room if not overly generous for size. Well enough equipped (no tea making facilities as usual). No on site car parking but there are a number of car parks where you can park from 18:00 - 09:00 for one or two euros, the closest being Raillment less than 50 yards away. Didn't have breakfast but it looked OK. Reliable free wi-fi. Recommended mainly for location.

Cyclist friendly!
Hotel close to centre and main square and restaurants after cycling 73 mile from Nantes it was ideal. This was our second stop of a 400 mile bike ride along the Loire valley. The breakfast looked superb fresh fruit, yoghurt, French bread, croissants jam boiled eggs cereal etc unfortunatetly cyclists don't usually eat big breakfasts with long rides in front of them they usually stop on the way! the hotel were great they let us have a petite breakfast croissant and coffee . we would reccommend this hotel better class than some two stars hotels

Wonderful location within walking distance of just about everything. The staff was most helpful in all respects. We opted for the breakfast, which was very well done. The room has a powerful AC, but it is pretty small for two people of normal size...big people would have problems.

Great hotel near city center
Hotel and staff were excellent. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly during our stay. Only con was that there was only one key for the room, so if we wanted to do separate sightseeing, we had to coordinate schedules so that the room was accessible to all of us. Hotel was very quiet and conveniently located. Hotel was also certified as an eco-friendly hotel, which wasn't essential to our choice but good to know.

Friendly welcome and very helpful
Angers made a great stop over for the 4 of us , the rooms were small but fine and good bathrooms. The receptionist was very helpful as we got a bit lost in the one way system, parking very close by. We .didn't have breakfast in as much cheaper out. Ate at the recommended LeTheatre restaurant 2 mins round the corner , very good but busy.

Best value budget hotel
A clean, bright and welcoming hotel in a very good location close to the Chateau and the town centre. It's not the easiest to find but if you park in the public car park it is about 80 metres away. The room I had was remarkably clean and very upbeat.

Nice and friendly staff, who speak English quite happily. Underground car Parking 2 minutes walk away, €2 for the first hour, €4 for two hours, €4 + €1 for each hour from over three. €14 for 24 hours. €2 overnight rate: 7pm-7am. Room ok. Clean and tidy, with natural light. Shower tiny, but fine. Quite old decor style, but in ok condition. Walls a bit thin.

A very good little hotel
This is an excellent private hotel very well situated in the centre of Angers and very handy for exploring the western Loire region. The staff are charming, the rooms very modern and extremely clean and all mod cons available. The only small drawback was the lack of parking, but there is an unloading bay opposite the main entrance and good, secure underground parking just a couple of minutes' walk away. On Sundays and public holidays there is free parking in the surrounding streets. In al I stayed 3 nights and spent 7 euros on (attended) parking,

Impeccable !
Hôtel très bien situé ! Rénové donc déco actuelle, très propre et bien équipé. Petit déjeuner complet avec tout ce qu'il faut pour tous les goûts. Il n'y a cependant pas de bar, comme j'ai pu le lire dans la description... Je reviendrai !

Bon hôtel mais...
Pour environ 90 euros avec petit déjeuné cet hôtel est extrêmement bien placé et la Chambre très propre. Dommage que la décoration de celle-ci ne soit pas à l'image de l'entrée de l'hôtel joliment décorée. Les chambres ne sont pas très grandes mais suffisamment pour une nuit. Dans la notre nous avons observés quelques petites imperfections filet de lumière sur le coté de la porte d'entrée laissant passer la lumière du couloir et éclat au fond la baignoire bien mal camouflé…Rien de bien grave. Pour le prix vous ne trouverez point de petits échantillons de produits douches ou autres champoings mais simplement deux distributeurs à main de produits douche/savon. Néanmoins même si vous avez réglé votre chambre en ligne ,une caution type empreinte de votre carte bancaire de 50 euros ( restituée en fin de séjour) ainsi qu'une taxe de séjour vous sera demandé lors de votre arrivée. Pour terminer le personnel est très avenant ,sympathique et professionnel.

Nous ferons de notre mieux afin d'améliorer le confort de la chambre. En ce qui concerne les produits d'accueil dans la salle de bain, nous sommes ECOLABEL donc nous pris le parti de diminuer les emballages et d'éviter le gaspillage d'ou les distributeurs de savon et gel douche. Nous pourrons discuter de tous ces points lors d'une prochaine visite. Nous notons néanmoins votre satisfaction. A très bientôt

L'hotel est bien situé en plein centre. Les chambres sont propres et la décoration est simple mais efficace. Le seul bémol est le mansue de parking mais il semble que tous les hotels au centre d'Angers sont confrontés à ce problème. Excellent rapport qualité-prix.
