A delightful River ViewPosted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: The Views
Cons: Lots of steps but full of character.
Location: Near Saumur on the R. Loire.
A superb situation and a pleasing welcome to this interesting Hotel situated overlooking the River Loire. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in a pleasant dining room and an adequate breakfast on the terrace. The pool was refreshing and made available early in the morning.

Castle very nice - do not book the apartmentsPosted Aug 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Castle very nice - make sure you do not book the apartments they also offer. You need to sleep in the castle

stunning viewsPosted Jun 3, 2013
Pros: staff, location, incredible views, lovely old building, beautiful grounds
Location: stunning, on cliff near small village, overlooking one of the most beautiful sections of the Loire
Stunning location and very comfortable hotel with extremely pleasant staff. Hotel overlooks the Loire - an indulgent place to spend a day or two. Food was also extremely good.

French countryPosted May 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
Second visit to this lovely country hotel. Large grounds, treed property. Lots of outdoor seating to watch the river go by. Very close to the Hippodrome for equestrian competitions. Close to Saumur town. Rooms could be updated but spacious and comfortable bed. Staff speak English.

Luxury locationPosted Apr 6, 2013
Pros: The Priory bedroom we stayed in
Cons: Price of the food - although very nice
Location: Up a hill overlooking the Loire River.
Excellent location, great views, lovely hotel to go to for a luxury experience. Be prepared for the evening meal to cost more then the room! Would love to return and spend more time here!

Lovely view and great foodPosted May 30, 2012 on Hotels.com
A must at this hotel is to avoid the socalled cottage rooms. They are situated in the ugliest concrete bungalows imaginable. You will be very decieved if you had expected something similar to the pictures on their website. The main building is in a great location, the decor is in need of updating, but the restaurant is worth the visit and the sevice is impeccable.

ちょうどよいPosted Aug 7, 2011
