Great romantic placePosted Jun 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
Beautiful hotel in heart of historic district. Continental breakfast is fine, nothing to write home about. Room was beautiful, but no window to outside.

One of the best hotels I have had the pleasure of staying in. We stayed in room 312, which is at a guest house near the actual Inn. Hotel staff was incredible friendly and helpful. Food at the inn's restaurant was delicious. You can't beat the location as it is near the center of the Historical District. I would stay at the hotel again without hesitation.

Our stay at 1790 HotelPosted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly and informative. We also enjoyed staying in a room that made you feel like you had gone back in time.
Cons: Better TV's in the rooms. I guess we have become spoiled and like hi def flat panel screens.
Location: The hotel is located near historic homes. you can take the tour busses or go to a live stage show. a walk around town is very interesting.
When we arrived at the 1790 hotel we were greeted by a very friendly staff. They answered all of our questions and gave us many suggestions about things to do while in Savannah. One thing I appreciated was that even though they have a great restaurant, they offered the names and locations of many other restaurants. We did eat at the 1790 one night and found the meal to be very good. Our room was very nice and decorated in a way that made you feel like you had gone back in time yet was comfortable to todays standards. One thing I would recommend is if you have difficulty climbing stairs you might ask about the 1790's guest house across the street. We spent one night there and it was very nice. The room had a king size bed and a Jacuzzi bath tub. We would recommend the 1790 to our friends and we would be happy to stay there again.

Puts you in the middle of the nightly festivitiesPosted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: The old charm of the place was nice.
Cons: Definitely need curtains that block out the light, and less polish on the wood floors. Shorter beds are needed, and handicap accessibility.
Location: Great walking distance to River and Bay Street.
If you planned on getting any rest then this is not the place for you. The hotel is located on the the roster for the many stops of the Ghost Tours for the city. So you are definitely in the middle of the party.

A great stay in historical SavannahPosted Jun 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed staying at the 17Hundred90 Inn. The history of the Inn is the reason we initially chose to stay here and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is great and the entire staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The location is great for walking around the historical district and visiting all the local attractions. We stayed in room #204 and had some unique experiences....check out this spot the next time you travel to Savannah.

Great historical hotel in SavannahPosted Jun 8, 2014
Very comfy room with a queen bed. Booked it for my parents and they loved it. Nice breakfast also. I like the private, family vibe while it still has great facility in good maintainance.
