In need of a total remodel

My room is a wreck, old, cramped and the bathroom is so small it's laughable. This is NO luxury hotel.

Very nice and great location

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: Love the location and the modern feel.
Cons: Room size was small
Location: Everything.
The hotel was worth the money except for the valet fee. That seems high. The room was very small for the price but the location was great and the staff was very nice. The rooms are modern and the bathrooms were very nice, half the size of the entire room.

Location says it all!!!

Pros: Locations, service
Cons: nothing
Location: Lots of restaurants, Lady and Sons, Olde Pink House, Riverfront restuarants and shops, Goose Feathers for breakfast/lunch ( best homemade croisants ),
We, 2 couples, were staying for a weekend stay for a foodie taste of the south. Location could not have been better. We used their concierge service for recommendations and booking tours. We booked the hop on hop off trolley tour/ boat cruise and saw all the top areas of the city. Trolley stop right across street from hotel #13 stop. If you want to start from the beginning then walk across diagonally to the city market and start at #2 stop. We hopped off at the rivertfront and ate lunch down there at stop #11 and hopped on the boat tour at 2pm, there is also a 4pm tour. Afterwards we walked back to the hotel only a few blocks away. Alot of our restaurants we made reservations for were a simple walk away from our hotel. Check in staff were so friendly and quick, mini bar drinks included( no alcohol ), and snacks. Will definitely come back here when in Savannah again.

Perfect hotel

Pros: The staff was absolutely wonderful. We have stayed at other hotels in the area, this one is exceptional.
Location: The hotel is near the market square and lots of downtown shopping and sites. The trolley stops in front of the hotel.
This hotel was perfect from the time we arrived to the time we left. We were greeted promptly in the lobby with a glass of wine, a smile and a welcome to Savannah. When we got to our room, our keys didn't want to work. Our floor attendant/maid saw we were struggling with our keys, came over and opened our door for us and helped us into our room. That night the concierge arranged to have a carriage ride for us that met us at the door of the hotel and took us on a wonderful overview of the historic district. Since the evening was cool, we returned to the hotel and sat around the second floor fire pit and meet some nice people. The snacks in the room (except for alcohol) were all included in the price of the room. The hotel is right next to the market square and an easy walk to river street. Breakfast at the hotel was wonderful and delicious (although a little pricey) but worth the money.

Stayed here while attending the music festival. Parked the car in underground parking and never used it. We were able to walk to all the events. Good vegetarian and vegan options on the menu

Outstanding guest experience at the Andaz

Pros: Location, location, location. It didn't hurt that it is a lovely property. We had a very nice, well appointed room. We walked EVERYWHERE from here.
Cons: Can't think of a thing.
Location: Close to the city market, walking distance to most attractions, not far from River Street. It was ideal for us.
I wasn't sure what to expect as I had never been to Savannah, and did not know of the Andaz before booking our trip. Whatever anxiety I had dissipated once we reached the hotel. Sheila, one of two on the front desk, greeted us warmly and offered a glass of wine, even though we rolled in around midnight. The following day we approached another Sheila, and Dan the concierge, about places to go and where to eat and not once were we disappointed. From Clary's to Henry's to using the Olde Town Tours, to Dolphin Magic, to special arrangements at the Sapphire Grill, Dan and the staff made for a great stay.

A heads up... Valet is $23 a day but it's better to pay and not have to worry. This hotel is literally where you want to be if you want to be in the middle of it all.
