Loss of Status

Pros: Very little in comparison to previous visits
Cons: Set a programme in hand to improve the hotel product and please cease the pet friendly programme. Animals polute the atmosphere in a room.
Location: Satisfactory
We had previously stayed in the Richmond Hill hotel when it was a Premier BW hotel and my did the difference show. It was a lackluster hotel that was in need of some enlivenment, sadly unlike the old days

Incompetence or bait & switch?? You decide.

Pros: Breakfast was good. Parking lot well lit and safe. Otherwise NOTHING. I got hosed.
Cons: Allow front desk staff to right the wrongs. I asked about a queen bed room for my original rate - young lady said she'd get fired. Reward her instead.
Location: Plenty of fast food, oh and other hotels that probably don't have incompetent assistant GM's.
I arrived at the hotel at 8 pm after a 15 hr drive to be told my King Bed Rm reservation was cxld . The young lady at the desk explained that my credit card was refused when the assistant GM ran credit cards at 6 PM, as is their policy. Now I know my card was NOT refused, and when the young lady tried to put a charge on it again, it was accepted of course. The young lady explained that as they had cxld my reservation the only thing she could do was give me a room at $100 MORE than my reserved rate. I politely (hard to do) asked her to call the assistant GM to explain the situation, but the she refused to honor my rate (hot deal for $51/night through Expedia). Clearly either a) the assistant GM was incompetent in running my credit card as it would not have been refused or b) the hotel simply did not want to honor the $51 rate so chose to cancel my reservation in an effort to extract another $100 from me. Now at 8 pm on the last weekend of March rooms are hard to come by as snowbirds are heading north, so being able to sell 'my' room for $100 more would be enticing. So, the young lady was getting flustered (I held my temper - not her fault) finally offered me a room that would be best described as a closet, with a twin bed. It's so off the radar it doesn't have a room number and uses a key to get in. No way to even secure the door from the inside. As it was my only option at point I took the room. I slept poorly, but better than nothing. I only hope it was just incompetence ...

Plenty of parking. Nice staff, very clean hotel. One of our better stays. Free nachos, cookies, lemonade, and coffee was a nice touch.

Can't beat it for the price

Location: Short easy drive to Savannah
Staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was adequate - as good as I would expect for a hotel breakfast.

Great location

We were visiting the Savannah area and this hotel was a great option for price and location. It was an easy 15 to 20 minute drive to Savannah. We came back to Richmond Hill on 3 nights for supper and found 3 really good restaurants right there. The breakfast was good and in the evening they had cookies and chips and salsa. Rooms were a good size and had extra chairs to sit on. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to friends.
