2nd stay at this location

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: nice room size with the business suite
Cons: We stayed at this location in March and everything was perfect. This time the room was not as clean. floor needed vacuming beds need to be made daily
Location: Savh, Ga. Historic city
Overall, hotel appearance was good. Not crazy about the family reunion that moved in on our second day and took over the lobby and common areas. Did not seem the staff was ready for this either.

Disappointed

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Nice sized room, nice beds, nice furniture, good breakfast and happy hour.
Cons: Better attention to customer dissatisfaction. The answer received at check in, "I'm sorry but there is nothing we can do," is not what I want to hear.
I checked in only to find out that the pool was closed for maintenance (painting). We choose this hotel for three reasons: 1) a large suite room so that we could put our 22 month old son to sleep in the other room and not have to sit in the dark ourselves, 2) a pool - so that our son could burn off some of the energy from sitting in the car all day, and 3) location - it was the midpoint of our trip and would allow us to check in around 4 pm, giving us time to use the pool and wind down while still getting our son to sleep at the normal time. Since the pool maintenance was planned and not an emergency, I feel we should be notified of things like this. If I have to cancel by the day before, they should hold themselves to the same standard of notifying us about changes of plans, like maintenance. I booked and paid for this room assuming that I would get what I paid for. I did not get what I paid for and was not given any kind of commensurate discount. My expectations were not met. In addition, while it is clear that they have attempted to upgrade the rooms and some of the upgrades were nice (the furniture, the beds), there were places where it was clear that the contractor did not give them what they paid for (poorly cut molding around the doorways, oversprayed knockdown texture, our toilet nearly overflowed from a liquids only, no solids or paper flush, etc.) Some of the old fixtures appeared to have been reused as well (the mirrored closet door that didn't stay shut).

Room was extremely dirty: carpet, bedspread, ceiling in shower overall a terrible room, not what your webpage promises.

Great stop with courteous staff

Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: Clean, convenient, great staff
Cons: Better quality toiletries
On our way back to Florida we decided to stay just off I-95 rather than going into downtown. I selected this hotel because I prefer to stay in a hotel that does not accept pets. This hotel was clean, staff very personable and helpful and convenient. They even offer complimentary beer & wine happy hour Mon-Thur with a few snacks. Great after a day of driving. There are numerous restaurants at this exit but opted to drive one exit up to 104 for more of a variety. Have definitely put this on my "stay again" list.

Good overnight stay near Savannah airport

Posted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: Lower price compared to chain hotels on airport road.
Location: Air museum next door. Downtown Savannah. Tybee Island beaches. Hilton Head. Shopping and restaurants in Pooler. New outlet Mall opening soon.
This is another fine quality Best Western hotel. Location is right next door to the air museum. The hotel is not on the airport road, as most of the hotels are, it is one exit south. Hotel is well run, clean, with typical breakfast offered. I would have no problem staying here again.

Nice Quiet Hotel

Posted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: Quiet, comfortable, great pillows.
Location: Very close to downtown Savannah for convenience but far enough away from the traffic of down town. Again, less than an hour from Tybee and Hilton Head
Approximately 42 minutes to Tybee Beach and close to downtown Savannah with out the crowdedness also close to Hwy 16 and 95. Comfortable rooms with quality bedding. King room is spacious with a desk and sitting area. Less than an hour from Hilton Head also. We had a comfortable and peaceful stay.

Good place for stopover with kids

Posted May 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed one night during a family road trip. The pull out couch was great for our toddler and the separate living/sleeping areas made everyone's night a bit better. The only downside was the room smelled a bit musty when we entered but it wasn't too bad. I would stay again.
