A Nice Surprise

The only part of the stay that was nicer than the room itself was the staff. The breakfast provided was also amazing.

Centered in history

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: The staff more than any other thing was the outstanding feature of this hotel including the concierge(s).
Location: This was in historic Savannah, GA and since historic Savannah is only 2.2 sq. miles, you could, if you wanted, walk to all the historical sites.
Hotel was clean and comfy with all the amenities. The staff was incredible...the benchmark of courtesy, southern charm with a sense of humor. Breakfast was always hot and abundant with a good variety to set you on your adventure. Requests for wake-up and cab were on target.

The hotel is well located and with easy access to the Historic District of Savannah. The concierge of the hotel was outstanding and helped up plan our visit, made reservations for us and helped us have an exciting visit to the city. I highly recommend the concierge. The hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff was helpful.

Too noisy and very disappointing.

Posted Aug 11, 2014
It's a very noisy hotel. The traffic, the air conditioned machine, the neighbors... The quality of the mattress doesn't agree with the "supposed" quality of the hotel. The breakfast is very poor, and the coffee is just dirty water. It was very disappointing overall. Everything but comfortable.

I don't understand why an additional $15 is charged per day for parking. Parking should be included in the price of the room.

Nice hotel. Close to all the attractions.

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: Buffer noise from the street. Make doors/ windows more soundproof. Include microwaves in the guest rooms to reheat leftovers from great restaurants.
Location: River Street, good local eateries like MaRandy's. Close to City Market and very walker friendly.
Would definitely stay here again. So convenient. Being able to park at the hotel and walk to all the attractions was a real plus. Was not as conjested as nearby hotels where we observed valets scurrying about in tight spaces. We felt very relaxed and the staff was very courteous. The hotel was comfortable. Though outside traffic noise was noticeable each evening of our stay, it subsided as the night went on. By midnight the noise had subsided and we slept soundly till morning! From this location you can exit from the rear and be literally just steps from River Street. You can't beat the location if you're looking to be in the heart of Savannah's historic district. The complimentary breakfast was nice with a variety of selections and the kitchen staff worked nonstop to make sure items were well stocked and the area clean. Looking forward to staying here on our next visit to Savannah.
