“Savannah, GA”

The hotel and the staff were wonderful, no complaints. The breakfast was the best I have ever seen in a hotel. Only downside is that it is a good 15min away from town. Not a great location if you are on vacation and wanting to explore the town.

Area recommendations

I recommend exploring downtown Savannah and the area along the river. Great if you like history.

When to go

Go during the winter, the heat and humidity in the summer will make you miserable.

Getting around

The streets are confusing. I recommend parking and taking a tour bus around town. The buses are all "on/off" with a new bus comming around about every 15min. Get off, explore the area, and hop on the next bus. It's inexpensive and well worth the money.

Dining

The Pirates' House is a must eat. The food is wonderful and the staff create a great energy in the place. Plus it's a real old pirate's hang out. You can get up and explore the building while you wait for your food. Kids will enjoy it too.

“Would recommend”

Everything was very clean. The staff was organized, cheery, and helpful. Conveniently located to Airport, Route 95 and various attractions related to Savannah.

“Given Wrong Kind of Room!”

My reservation online showed a King Studio Suite and I don't think that room 213 was what I had reserved! What I ended up in was just a regular King room!

“A Pleasant find...”

With the exception of the sofa that had visible stains, the room was adequately clean with no unpleasant odors. The breakfast provided was adequate in that it provided eggs, waffles, breakfast meats, and cereals. I wasn't to thrilled with fried chicken for breakfast, though; it was gummy. Our check-in was uneventful; our checkout was the same. Overall, I would be happy to recommend this hotel and will be staying again. The hotel is located near the airport but is not overly noisy. It is also located near a WalMart, Sam's Warehouse, movie theater and numerous fast food eateries.

“ok”

Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, stayed there three nights, maids missed our room both mornings. Free happy hour was great the first night and then went down hill, little muchies and beverages were lacking. Seems the front desk personnel took care of the happy hour only when they could. Free breakfast was very good and staffed with kitchen help so well taken care of.

Area recommendations

Historic Downtown was nice, about a 20 minute drive from the Country Suites Inn. If you want to party and see the sites stay downtown. If you want to take it easy stay out by the airport.

“Home away from Home”

Everything was just perfect, the room was clean and very fresh. As you enter into the room there was a fresh scent. I asked frontdesk and she told me it was Fresh Lien, I loved it. The ceiling 1st floor was aleast 12' or more tall, and bed was so comfortable, it made me feel as if I was a special guest the overall room was great, also the the staff. My choice for sure....and a Great ome..

“Noise, noise, noise”

The personnel were very gracious, the room was clean. However, the air conditioner was loud and two large units (compressors) outside the room window were extremely annoying. The breakfast offerings made me aware of some good reasons why this is part of the stroke belt. The token "healthy" options were stuck in a table away from the main food. The yogurt was an overly sweet, slimy textured commercial variety. Sorry to be so negative, but it wasn't a very pleasant stay.

“Nice place to stay; convenient without being in the congestion of downtown.”

Nice comfortable, convenient, clean and affordable hotel. No parking problems as with some Downtown hotels. My only disappointment was that there were no warm cookies in the lobby at night. I thought that they were a Country Inn trademark.
