“Decent Stay for a Budget Hotel”
I stayed at this Days Inn for 2 nights along with my little dog. It's not new, so don't expect new. Everything worked properly, just a little dated, but fine. I had read reviews of bed bugs, head lice and rude employees, I did not experience any of those things. I'm very well traveled & have stayed at more 4 & 5 star resorts than 2 & 3 star, but this worked out great for me to visit a friend in that area without spending a whole lot. Will stay there again.
“Comfortable bed, lowsy TV”
Room was acceptable, nothing fancy, comfortable enough. The TV only worked on certain seemingly local channels, though some cable channels were watchable. Others were blocked out by a big black box that would pop up in the middle of the screen, then go away (on some channels).
“just ok”
person in charge of contential breakfast was not available, had to find and several items they were out of and she didn't seem to care. rooms had a dingy smell. first room comode continually flushed, second room lock didn't work when we returned that night and had to wait 15 minutes outside in the rain, desk person said time ran out? and she had to reprogram
“Will return”
Only problem encountered was I booked a room with a king sized bed, but got 2 doubles instead. Good area to stay for the price if you don't need anything too fancy.
“Don't listen to your GPS”
The staff is wonderful, really went out of their way to accomadate my needs would stay here again...My only dislike was that it was a little off the path from everything I wanted to do, and my GPS never sent me to the right area.
“No night time airport shuttle.”
I picked this hotel because of price and the advertisement of airport shuttle service. I got in at 11PM and called for a shuttle, but was informed that they didn't have service at night. The desk person was very nice and I was reimbursed for my cab fare.
“Fine place to stay in Savannah if you can't afford downtown”
I saved $200 by staying in this hotel instead of Downtown Savannah. It was a good value. Nothing fancy, but everything was clean, and the staff were pleasant.
“could be a good hotel but not managed right”
Pulling up to this hotel we thought it was very neat with a little bar an grill in front that was shaped like a tiki hut. This is the 2nd time we stayed here with the same experience. We tried one more time because we thought last time might have been a one time incident but it was the same. The 1st room we went to this past time, the bed was sunk in and we pulled the covers up and the box springs was broken and has sunk through the metal frame. The water in the shower would not work right. We were moved and the next room's sheets did not fit right and had a mattress cover that was torn all up and didn't fit either. I saw hairs on the sheets. When I woke up the box springs had fallen through the metal frame like the 1st room and the sheets wasn't on the corners of the mattress anymore ( no we weren't drunk). The stairs leading up to the 2nd floor are really far away from most rooms. You have to walk like a half of mile from your car t the stairs to your room. The people in the rest. for breakfast were rude and very unprofessional both times we stayed. They were sitting at the tables with cut off shirts trying to ask me what room I was in. I had no idea he worked there. The wall next to our table had food dried up on it and splattered. All of it was pretty bad. By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Too bad. The little bar and grill looks cute int he front. Oh yeah, they wouldn't give us an extra towel to shower the next morning.
“Great Visit!”
I couldn't believe the room rate I got! It made up for noise of the planes taking off several times during the night. Being at the Airport, the noise was to be expected and being near the Port and Industrial Area caused an increase in traffic by large trucks on the road. The room was very comfortable with a King- Sized Bed, eating area and a Loveseat so you could watch TV in comfort or snooze if you liked. The hotel is Pet-Friendly and has very modest rates for your 4-legged friends. This is the place I plan to stay if I am in the area again.
“Good hotel for the price”
This hotel is conveniently located only a short drive from the activity on River St. Also it is dog-friendly and the rooms are large enough to accomodate even a large dog. Although not glamorous or luxurious, the rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. The pool was also very nice. The restaurant/bar is also a nice ammenity.
