Historic hotel across the street from the riverPosted Oct 20, 2014
Wonderful staff and gorgeous accommodations!! If you want the best night of sleep you've ever had, stay at The East Bay Inn! The mattresses are heaven! The Inn is right "in the thick" of things. Short walk to fantastic restaurants, night life, and shops. We will stay again!

Our Return to The East Bay InnPosted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: Size and parking
Location: Right on Bay St--an easy walk to the river and City Market
We hadn't stayed at the inn for a year or so. We had a reservation in the past and the inn was overbooked, so we were transfered to the Marshall House. On our next two trips through Savannah we stayed elsewhere due to that. We prefer the East Bay Inn and love that there is some parking right in front. We were lucky enough to get a space in their lot and were upgraded to a lovely room. It made for a great stay. The complimentary breakfast has been improved and was quite good.

Great stay in heart of charming Savannah!Posted Oct 13, 2014
This is a great historic building that is located in the heart of Savannah. It is near almost anything a visitor to the city would want to see - River Street, the various squares, and the main shopping and dining attractions of the city. There is easy parking on the lot on site and if that fills up the garage is a half block away. It is also a short drive to the nearby barrier islands, St. Bonaventure Cemetery, and Wormsloe - all recommended sites to see. About the hotel - the staff is very warm and welcoming. There are wine and cordials set out each night, and the continental breakfast each morning is a pretty good spread. The rooms have a lot of charm, are very spacious, pet-friendly and you get actual keys to the rooms - not swipe cards. It's a unique place to stay in a great part of the city. It's affordable too.

Classic historic hotelPosted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Character and location
Location: Ideally located in the historic district and river bluff.
We had a a very pleasant stay and enjoyed the complimentary "happy hours" and breakfasts. The beds were a little too soft for my needs.

This was a wonderful hotel in a great location.Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Love the staff, location, and all the ammentities the East Bay Inn provided. I look forward to staying her on my next trip to Savannah!
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect!
Location: Location was excellent.Everything within walking distance. Did not have to move the car throughout our stay.
From the time we arrived everyone on staff was extremely friendly and helpful. On the first morning we over slept for breakfast. The staff was nice enough to provide us with an array of food for our room, including Decaf coffee for my friend which they made especially for her.Five o'clock every evening was a lovely time conversing with several of the other guests at the hotel.

Love this Inn, but had issuesPosted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: Beautiful Inn. Well maintained, excellent service, great location, great breakfast.
Location: Located one street from River Street where there are many restaurants and shops. Close to downtown attractions.
We loved this Inn; it was just lovely, well maintained, beautifully furnished, well located near most activities and restaurants. This Inn has three floors and we stayed on the second. The room was large with high ceilings and huge windows overlooking the street and lovely walkways. However, because it is a 1854 building, the floors creak, loudly. Didn't notice until our third floor neighbors decided to pace the floor all night...sleep for me was impossible. I talked to the desk manager the next morning and she said I should have called the desk, but she would speak to the people in the room above. Well, that didn't do much good as they woke me up at 12:30 a.m. (probably coming in from the evening out) but what were they doing at 4:30 a.m.? Again spoke to the desk, they said "did you call us" and I did not. However, be warned, lovely place, great service, excellent breakfast, would stay again...on the third floor!

Nice hotel close to River StreetPosted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: The location, the beautiful rooms, the cheese and crackers gatherings in early evening. The helpful staff.
Cons: Everything is fine as is.
Location: Walking distance to River Street with all the restaurants, boat trips, shops, etc. Easy to get to the City Tour buses as well.
We love the hotel. The rooms are great. The staff is great. This time we had someone in the room above us that kept running around till after midnight and then started up again very early in the morning. The staff told us we should have notified them and they would have taken care of it. Otherwise the stay was great.
