“Great experience”

We stayed for a night and it was one of the best and cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. They had just finished renovating it and it was beautiful. The staff was also really nice. Will stay there again

“Look beyond the outside”

I picked this hotel because of the positive reviews that it had been given and I was not disappointed. Although the outside of the hotel is a little vintage, with outside stairways, it is kept up nicely. The best part of the stay was the very nice condition and comfort of the rooms. Beds were very comfortable with nice bedding. The bathroom had granite surround and good water pressure. The sink area, just outside the toilet and bath area was a very pleasing wood shelf set up. If I were to think of any improvement on the rooms it might be to have a bit thicker towels. Breakfast had some good choices, including premodern egg, sausage, waffle, very tasty bagels, donuts and cinnamon buns. Desk staff was pleasant and helpful.

“Good experience with 1 problem”

My wife and I stayed 2 nights on our trip up north and back. Rooms were freshly redone and clean. The only disappointment I had was with the front desk. When I checked in the first night I requested a ground level room but was told there were none. We checked in early and thought that the rooms would fill up as the evening progressed. I woke up the next morning to see that the motel was only 1/3 full which meant that the front desk was not being truthful. I kinda felt like second class citizen. Second night was not a problem even though they were full. As seniors steps can be a problem. All and all both nights were fine.

“"I would go back"”

The next time I visit Richmond Hill, I would stay at the Econo Lodge. It was close to the friends I was visiting. It was next to the freeway, which I used to get around Savannah. The price was right for the room. Betty the front desk clerk was as nice as can be.

“A clean and comfortable hotel”

September 1, 2012 - one night stay was very comfortable. The rooms were very clean (and quiet) and appeared to be newly remodeled; the beds were new. The staff were friendly; breakfast was more than expected. We were traveling with another couple for an unplanned and short weekend trip to Savannah and were pleased to find a motel at this very reasonable rate (especially on Labor Day weekend). The location was just a short distance from downtown Savannah. We would stay there again.

“You get what you pay for”

This was a case of getting what you paid for. We were looking for cheap lodging, simply a place to sleep and shower, and that is what we got. The motel is so old, the lobby has a wall a/c unit just like the rooms. Many of the rooms have been updated and our biggest complaint about our room was its layout. They tried to squeeze two double beds into the room along with a table and chairs. The result was not being able to get out of one bed on one side and not being able to have two people sit at the table because the bed was in the way of the second chair. It was reasonably clean, had a m/w and fridge, and the beds were reasonably comfortable. No pool or other amenities other than a continental breakfast. For a few extra dollars, the next time, I would stay at the Hampton Inn or Comfort Suites next door.

“book in person or not at all”

The bathtub was clogged...I received a call from the hotel before checkout stating that my credit card was declined.. this was odd to me because i paid online through expedia and the charge already had cleared.. The attendant insisted that my card was declined and refused to listen to me and understand that i paid through expedia even after i showed him my receipt.. He did not listen.. I've had some bad experiences with management and this was among the worst..
