Cons: Lobby was full with folks trying to check in. Need more than one person behind the desk, even though the one working was doing a remarkable job.
Overall it was very good. Had a clean room and felt very safe.

Keep driving

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: People who worked there were bright and friendly.
Cons: Decor, deep cleaning, pricing, adding micro-wave and fridge to rooms.
Location: I-95 is convenient for those who only need a room for the night. Other hotels closer to Savannah aren't that much more expensive.
Staff were nice, but the hotel was over-worn. New carpet did nothing to improve an old structure and furnishings. Room amenities consisted of a small coffee pot. Mildew stains on the bathroom ceiling made me question cleanliness. Lobby and halls were crowded and busy and felt small. Breakfast was terrible. I know they have chickens in Georgia, so don't understand serving powdered eggs--not at the price I paid. Maybe $50 would have been a fair price. This was 3 times that.

Pricy for the quality

Posted Apr 20, 2015 on Hotels
We have stayed in many Marriot's and this one was on the low side, like not at all of what is to be expected from this chain. Very pricy compared to other chains but we were tired and some area hôtels had no vacancy, knowing the reputation of the Marriot we decided to stay there. Room was ''acceptably'' clean (very clean and tidy bed) yet there was a muggy smell like stale water, there was a stain ring in the toilet and the carpet didn't look clean. Overall the stay was acceptable but I will not go to that hotel again. Will also inform firends and relatives that drive by not to stay at this hotel.
