“You get What you pay for”
Old , the hallways smeell funky, They dont give you that many towel, when I dial the front desk from my room my called was neverd answerd. The breakfast was not good at all. When i booked my hotel online it told me that it was a 2 1/2 start but it is not. When we got to savannah i realize that infrot of this hotel there was la quinta offering the same price and same with best western so i would of rader stayed in those hotels
“Hotel Pics did not reflect what we saw!”
This hotel is run down. The photos online must have been taken years ago! Not impressed and would not suggest this hotel to anyone!
“comfortable”
we got the hotel for a good price and it was very convienent (if you have a car) to the historic district. the staff was very friendly. we checked in pretty late, close to midnight, the person at the front desk was very helpful. our room was clean, had a bit of a weird smell, but over all very clean and comfortable. i would stay here again.
“A surprise in Savannah”
This hotel seems to be recently renovated and wasin very good condition. The staff was very pleasant and the hotel was not crowded. The breakfast was a little "slim" but acceptable. It surprised me that small amount of people staying at this hotel. I will probably stay there when I go back to Svavnnah in January.
“Great Experience”
I have never stayed in Savanna before so i just went to expedia.com and looked for an inexpensive hotel that was reasonably close to the historic district. The Savannah Garden Hotel was a breath of fresh air as I was worried that the online photos would be too good to be true. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our room and bed were clean and comfortable. Our experience was very pleasurable.
“You get what you pay for.”
I think they are perhaps going through transition. It was just fine for what we needed, somewhere to sleep and shower.
“Do not stay here”
After the nightmare to check in trying to get the correct room, we finally made it into the correct one and I was immediately grossed out. I walked into the bathroom to do my business...and all I saw was mold around the tub and toilet. There were paint stains all over the carpet and tile in the bathroom. Glad I brought my own hair dryer...ours did not work. At first glance the room looked clean..but later as I was looking for a shoe, I looked under both of the beds....OMG. I have never seen anything so nasty. Gatorade bottles, napkins, trash of all kinds. You can tell that they had been there for a while. I did not even bother to tell the others in my group because I did not want to cause a scene. The Ice maker down stairs (not one on every floor) has mold growing in the bottom tray, and the stairs looked like they had never been cleaned at all. The tile floor in the hall way has red drink stains the whole weekend. No one ever cleaned them up. They were like drops from a customers cup. By boyfriend and I went looking for the "jacuzzi" advertised. It had not been cleaned all season it looked. It had leaves floating in it. IT IS AN INDOOR JACUZZI!!!!! It smelled like something had died in the "spa room" The pictures of the hotel are miss leading. It looks really nice and updated, but the lobby was empty...half painted & smelled. Breakfast till 10? So they say. I should have listened to other reviews. I figured a few picky people had written them. They were right. Do not waste $
“will not go back”
There was mold all over the bathroom ceiling, the lobby was empty and there was never more than one person there. It took too long for the attendant to check us in. As i was leaving the next day there was a large cockroach in the middle of the hallway.
“It was okay”
There was not a microwave or frig in the room as expected. However, it was a nice place in a good location, just missing the right cleaning management and food service and supplies. The hotel has been taken over by the bank. They are in the process of selling it. A Chain may buy it and run it accordingly. I would wait!
“Practically everything out of order!”
Just about everything out of order, from ice machines, whirlpool, and air conditioner. Poorly maintained. We won't be going back until changes are maded.
