“great escape”
The staff was amazing. So polite - you can tell we were in the south... true southern hospitatlity. Valet could use a little remedial training. Just because you have a podium to stand behind doesn't mean you can't leave it to direct your customers. Other than that, great trip, great hotel.
“Excellent Service”
I have never stayed at a hotel, where the staff is so accomodating. They went above and beyond, very friendly. Actually the night before we stayed at a more expensive full service hotel and were very dissappointed, then to stay at a limited service hotel and have a full service experience was quite unexpected! Love this hotel, overall due to the staff and their great attitude. Thank you, Linda
“Wonderful Hotel - Highly Recommended”
The Hampton Inn Historic District was wonderful. The river and a variety of shops and restaurants was just across the street. Location for shopping and seeing the sites was absolutely wonderful. Hot breakfast was excellent and was included with the room. I was pleasantly surprised that the final ropm charge from Expedia was considerably less than I had initially signed up for due to their "lowest rate available" policy. Savannah has another Hampton Inn but it is not in the historific district. Be sure to sign up for this one. Would definitely return here the next time we visit Savannah.
“see you next time”
Everthing we wanted to do in Savannah was within walking distance. The room was a great place to rest after the fun.
“Efficient Southern Charm”
Being in Savannah during a heat wave is a mixed experience, but this hotel made it a calm and restful one. The defining characteristic here is an extraordinarily attentive, helpful staff with a genuinely friendly and welcoming attitude. Hampton Inn always does the basics well, and rooms were comfortable and immaculate with excellent business services. Plusses included a beautiful view of the river, rooftop pool, and being right in the midst of the beautiful green "squares" of the city center.
“Singles/couples/families-enjoyable to all”
Great location, quiet, personnel extremely pleasant and courteous. Coffee wonderful and the continental breakfast-was also very good. The valets, Carl, Shawn and the others were so helpful with my car and directions of interest. Rooftop pool area for viewing the river was just beautiful. Definitely stay again.
“Hampton Inn in Historic Savannah Georgia”
I liked everything about the hotel except the employees were not very friendly. The receptionist at the front desk just waved me across the street to the bus stop. Of course it took me half an hour because I unknowingly went the wrong way. Its a nice place to stay, as long as you don't need assistance.
“Excellent Hotel!!!”
There was a miscommunication with the valet parking one night and we were almost late for a show that we had tickets for, by the time we got our car we barely made it to our destination in time.
“Great location!”
The Hampton Inn in Historic Savannah was a wonderful hotel. This was a girls trip so I went with my ma and cousin and stayed for 5 nights. It was directly across the street from the river walk which made it very convenient to walk along the river and visit the many shops and restaurants. The Beds were fantastic, they were so comfy, with feather top matresses, and feather pillows. there was a big bathroom with granite countertops and updated chrome faucets. The bedroom had a fridge and a microwave, plus a flat screen tv. The pool was located directly on the roof, it was small but it did have a nice view of the city, and a place to cool off after shopping all day. The only thing that I didn't like was that the hampton inn does not have a full service restaurant, they do provide FREE breakfast every morning, with eggs, toast, cereal, yougurt, and pastries, but at the end of the day it would of been nice to be able to grab something to eat or a dessert to end a wonderful day.. The first night we were hungry and we ordered a pizza, which they delivered to the hotel. That was the only thing I wish they would of had.. If you are looking for a great hotel that is close to everything this is the hotel for you..
“very nice”
the hotel itself was very comfortable, the "continental" breakfest was exceptional, very unexpected.nice touch! wonderfully located.very clean city.lots to do
