“Strategically located”
Savvanah Georgia is a beautiful town. There is a bus/trolley stop directlly in front of the Mulberry Inn and one virtually behind it in front of the Pirate House which has a nice buffett. The hotel itself has a nice breakfast buffet which as Savannah prices go are a fair deal. At the Pirate House try the She-Crab Soup. Drive over to Tybee Island and eat at The Crab Shack awesome food and good experience. Take a history tour horse carriage ride or a ghost tour ride if that's your thing. Several candy stores on the River Walk check them out. Be sure to go to St. Johns Catholic Catherdral, beautiful. On the rolley rides get the on/off pass so you can get off when you see something interesting. Bring your cameras the oaks & moss are majestic. In the T.V series Andy Griffith was located in Mayberry North Carolina. Mayberry is on steroids compared to Dahlonega Georgia. Small and you can walk the entire town in about 30 minutes if you were in a hurry. It is very quaint and quiet. Lots of little shops and some very good restaurants. Dahlonega is a gold mining town and has a lot of history. There is also a military college and state college there. About 7 miles north of Dahlonega we came to a crossroads and a large smoker was outside early in the morning just a smoking. They advertised sausage biscuits. Awesome bisquit and the sausage was to die for. A large pattie about 1/2 inch thickand delicious. The little roadside shed was a diamond in the rough for breakfast biscuit. Enjoy.
“Happy Traveler”
When picking a hotel via Internet it's very difficult because its hard to judge by pictures and the maps provided. However, my husband & I were extremely pleased with our choice of the Mulberry Inn. The pictures on the Internet did the hotel justice. The location was fabulous to all the historic sites & was in walking distance to all the restaurants & cares. I highly recommend this hotel & already have to everyone I talked to!
“Kinda Suprised”
I never thought I would reccomend a Holiday Inn,, But this is an exception. It is an older historic building that is in remarkable condition, lots of charactor, very clean and nicely appointed rooms. Just 1 block from River St. makes the location good also. I will go back!
“Convenient to everything and a great value!”
We had a king suite and were very surprised by how spacious it was. It was nice to have a microwave and refrigerator, lots of storage space, and a very comfortable bed. The location was convenient to everything, and the free parking was a plus. The only thing negative was the noise from the street and the courtyard. We could hear all the traffic and everyone who walked by the room. Fortunately we were really tired from walking around all day and slept well in spite of the noise. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
“Can't wait to return!”
My fiance and I stayed at the Mulberry Inn for a long weekend. It was our first visit ever to Savannah. The location of the hotel was wonderful, and even though the tour book we read said to "be careful" as it was near the projects, we felt completely safe - even walking around after midnight. It was very convenient to the water front. The buffet style breakfast was magnificent, and we loved the old Southern charm of the inn. We anxiously look forward to returning!!
“Delightful! We will return.”
The staff here goes above and beyond - could not ask for more. Convenient location and parking were plusses. The lobby and hallways were spotless. Our romm was comfortable and clean. We had no issues at all, and plan on returning here our next trip.
“Already planning next stay”
The staff were extremely friendly and the concierge was knowledgable. The hotel is located within walking distance of the Olde Pink House, several parks, the Juliet Gordon Lowe birthplace, City Market and the evetful Riverfront.
“Wonderful room and location!”
We arrived on a Wednesday evening. I had to work most of the trip, and the cleaning staff and front desk were helpful and very courteous. On Friday morning, I had to make a presentation and requested a wake-up call. For some reason, our phone wasn't working, so they walked over to the room and knocked on the door to make sure that I was awake. Excellent service! The Mulberry is conveniently located near everything in downtown, including lots of restaurants. Our wireless Internet worked without problems - and we often encounter some sort of issues at other hotels. The room was very spacious, and I liked having 2 TVs in case we wanted to watch something different. The living room furniture was comfortable, and the living room was very large, unlike what you encounter in some so-called suites. The micro-fridge/microwave and sink areas nicely separated the living room from the bedroom, and the bedroom door could be shut without blocking access to the bathroom - nice feature when the kids are staying on the pull-out sofa! I will definitely stay here again if I go back to Savannah!A
“Best deal in the area”
Great location to enjoy Savannah on foot. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Beautiful hotel.
“Great Choice for Your Stay in Sanannah”
Great location-River Street is 2 blocks away. Lovely neighborhood, incredible staff and a very nice, large room. We were only there 1 day but I did check out the pool and exercise room. Both were most appealing. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially since the rates are so reasonable too. Can't beat it.
