Pros: We liked the friendly staff. The manager was super nice to us. We enjoyed having breakfast and a night meal there, so we did not have to go out.
Cons: The upholstered furniture should be thrown away because of the musty smell. Also the rooms should be thoroughly dusted every single day.
Location: We were very happy with the location. It was easy to get to the historic district, and it is also near a nice mall.
When we checked in, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They were like that throughout our stay. The size of the room was very nice, and the bed was very comfortable. However, the room had a terrible musty smell. The tops of the furniture had been dusted, but there was layers of dust everywhere else on the furniture. Also, there was so much dust on the carpet base boards that had built up for so long that it would be impossible to remove it. The couch and chair in the sitting area smelled so musty it was not enjoyable to sit there. The breakfast and night meal was delicious, and the staff who worked there were very friendly and nice. The hotel was located in a convenient area of town. If the room had not smelled so musty, our stay would have perfect. We were told that the place was under construction and all the rooms would eventually be redone. If the staff will see that the rooms are cleaned and dusted properly every day after all the construction, the musty smell should not return. We would stay there again if that happened. Otherwise, we would not! We would check it out thoroughly before we committed again.

Homewood suites was a Great Place to stayPosted Sep 24, 2013
Cons: The ceiling fan had a very severe wobble to the point it could not be turned on. The furniture was clean but definately outdated.
Location: CLOSE TO EVERYTHING
The Staff at the hotel were very friendly and courteous. Even Maintenance was polite. Arrived in the evening hours, while I was getting my luggage out of the car, the maint. personnel offered to help carry my bags. The rooms were very nice, a little outdated with tapestries and furniture. the bedroom ceiling fan could not be used due to a serious wobble. The room was clean comfortable and had nice tv's in the living area and bedroom area. Plenty of hot water. and was quiet at night. I will be back

Great location, excellent roomPosted Sep 23, 2013
Location: Around several other hotels, shopping areas nearby along with several nice restaurants.
Stayed here as a base to check out several areas, Jekyll island, Richmond hill, downtown Savannah, Tybee island and Hilton head. It was easy to get to all the areas easily and restaurants were close. Parking lot was nicely lit. Pool was clean and breakfast food was very good. Would stay again when in the area.

Very spacious; Very cleanPosted Sep 2, 2013
Location: Excellent location near plenty of restaurants and stores.
My only complaints were the down pillows, to which my wife is allergic. Made for a not-so-fun day the next day. The other issue was that for all the modernization in the room, the bathtub looked like it was from the 1950s. All that aside, I would totally stay there again.

Affordable and Comfortable HotelPosted Aug 16, 2013
Pros: The dinners (with wine and beer) and breakfasts were a highlight. The staff were nice and accomodating. The 2 rooms were nice and spacious
Cons: Update tub (old) and change shower curtain. Replace full size beds with Queens (the beds were small for 2 people)
Location: We ate at some of the many nearby restaurants. Easy drive to the Historic District; ended up appreciating not being in the hustle and bustle/downtown
My 5 member family stayed here and had an excellent experience. The pull-out sofa was great for the 5th person and the bedroom with a door allowed people to use the bathroom without disturbing others during the night. Although we didn't use the kitchen, the microwave was great for popcorn and the fridge was nice for keeping bottled water cool. The extensive week night dinners and full breakfasts added to the tremendous value. A television in the bedroom and living room was a great feature. Would highly recommend this to families.

The Price, Hotel overall was fine, the issue arose and bedtime. 1) Our King size bed sunk to the middle making the sofa bed a better choice. 2) Dog next door left unattended all 4 days until 11sh. Barking non stop. 3) the River Dance team staying in the room above us. They practiced every night from 2-4 am
