Close to restaurants and shopping

Posted May 14, 2015
Pros: The room was roomy, clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Although it was a "free" breakfast included, I have had a better selection at a chain I usually frequent (because of the breakfast).
Location: It is close to the airport, interstates and a golf course. There are restaurants, shopping and a theater nearby.
I met my daughters there for a "girls retreat". I chose this particular hotel because of the outside pool and convenient location. We had an excellent experience. The room had a sitting area as well as two televisions.

Great facility but serious staff error

Posted May 5, 2015
Pros: Close to the airport, new and beautifully appointed room with a separate area from the bedroom itself.
Cons: Staff doing what they promised to do!!
Location: Restaurants adjacent to the hotel and a nice Par 3 golf course
This is a beautiful, new hotel near the Savannah, Georgia airport. When we checked in we asked if they had a shuttle to the airport and were told it did not run until 7 a.m. in the morning. We said that we needed to get to the airport by 4:30 a.m. in order to catch our flight. We asked the staff member to call us a cab for 4 a.m. and she said she would. The next morning when we checked with the only staff member on duty about the cab, they asked if we had called them and we said we had not since the staff member the day before said that they would do that. Since the airport is located far from town we had great difficulty getting a taxi to drive the 1.5 miles to the airport from the hotel. We were able to arrive at a solution and made our flight, but the hotel staff from the day before really let us down and left us in danger of missing our flights to California.

Nice hotel not far from Tybee and River Street

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: I was taken with the size of the rooms.
Cons: I had a refrigerator in my room but a microwave would have been nice too. Also, the complex does not have a laundry room.
Location: The location was about 35 minutes from Tybee Island and about 20 minutes away from River Street.
I immediately felt welcome at Hyatt Place when the fresh scent of the lobby greeted me. Both receptionist were pleasant , resourceful and knowledgeable. I was even more pleased when I reached my room. It was huge! I was excited about the sitting area which I claimed for "me time". I loved the brightness of the rooms and I cannot mention enough the spaciousness; even in the bath rooms!!! Hyatt Place is a winner on my list of home away from home.

Very convenient to the airport

Posted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: Convenient, clean, modern
Cons: More reliable wifi
Location: A few 100 meters from the i95 Interstate and convenient for the airport but no public transport to it. Savannah Historic District well worth a visit.
Less than 2 miles form the airport, this hotel is almost new. The rooms are well furnished and comfortable - our 'suite' had a sitting area with TV and bedroom area also with a TV. Fridge and coffee machine were provided. The self service buffet breakfast was good with a wide selection of hot and cold food, certainly enough to keep most people going through the day! Although the hotel does not have a restaurant for evening meals. there is a grill on one side of the hotel and a Waffle House on the other. Wifi worked fairly well, but download speed and responsiveness fell off dramatically at the peak evening period. There is ample parking in what appeared to be a safe but not secured car park.

Pros: 99% everything
Cons: The bathroom door is glass and just a tiny bit of a slot you can peek in. When you are traveling with a child this makes it difficulty to have privacy
Location: Airport and shopping
We stayed for several nights over Thanksgiving. The room was excellent and so was the staff. Morning breakfast was the best I have had in a hotel recently.

A+++ They made a BIG FAN out of me.

Posted Mar 26, 2015
The staff was so friendly and helpful. The finishes were new, modern and clean. The breakfast was great! And I LOVE the fact that they have an on-site bar with beer, liquor & wine and full (REAL) coffee/espresso station. The room was phenomenally appointed and comfortable. VERY happy with this stay and look forward to booking future stays at others in this brand.

The pool was not available. Shouldn't advertise it

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pool was not ready for a mid March trip! They shouldn't advertise a pool if it is not avalaible. Staff was rude and said although it is dirty we can go in if we want. Unprofessional staff and needs management around!
