Great location, reasonable price

We enjoyed our stay. The Inn at Ellis Square was in a great location. We were able to walk to most places. Parking at the Inn was reasonably priced.

Shell's vacation

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Hotel located centrally to everything. River walk across the street and city market a block away. Near pink house and Paula Deens restaurant. Dated hotel but clean. Great air conditioning which helped because there is no pool. Trolley stop is outside of hotel door. Trolley great for historical landmarks. Savannah Live was a good show and was a few blocks away but walkable. Do not need to rent a car since everything is centrally located. K-shuttle from airport drops off at hotel door ($30 round trip). Food excellent.

Pros: Accessibility to all of savannah
Cons: See above
Location: Riverfront is minutes away by walking
The staff was friendly enough until I complained that the TV did not work in the room I was assigned. Then it was nott heir problem but an Expedia problem and I had to deal with you. If this is true, I will never book with Expedia again.

Cons: The suits could be bigger and/or better.
Location: This hotel is in a great central location of all entertainment.
I had a great time in Savannah. I was not impressed by the corner suit. It was small and very compact not what I was expecting out of a corner suit. The complementarty WiFi was not working and the TV was fuzzy on all the channels that we did get. The breakfast was ok I did like the variety of breakfast foods but the dinner hall was too small for the amount of people trying to fix and eat breakfast. Parking was a bit of a struggle with limited parking and people taking up two spaces. But overall the stay was nice and I would return to this hotel.

Comfortable and close to a lot of the bustle.

Posted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: The staff and location were great.
Location: One end of River Street is a quick 2 minute stroll and Ellis Square is adjacent to the hotel. You have a lot of places to eat and drink very close by.
The hotel itself was clean overall, with some spots showing age (mostly in the room), but nothing that affected my experience. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, greeting you as you enter and leave the building. The location is great, with one end of River Street just across the road and Ellis Square as its backyard. You have access to a lot of the great things Savannah has to offer with just a 2 minute stroll.

I booked through Expedia and when I arrived, they didn't have a reservation for me. Luckily, I had my confirmation email with the itinerary number and they were able to resolve the issue. The staff was great, especially considering how very busy the hotel was at the time, due to graduation being that weekend. The room itself was fine, although the bathroom was extremely small. The location is really the best feature, within walking distance to River Street and other great shops, restaurants and entertainment. Overall, it was a good experience.

Riverboat Wedding

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: It is in a great location for the riverwalk area.
Room and hotel were as advertised online. Housekeeping came by while we were still in the room so I told them to come back after we were gone that afternoon. They did not come by but we were only staying that night so it was not a big deal.

Loved the location.Easy on our travel group of 8.

Pros: The desk and porter staffs, outside seating areas, comfy beds, proximity to lots of shops, food and tours.
Cons: The maids consistently gave us 2 or 3 bath towel sets for the 4 of us in each room. Renovation is coming, but the single sink area is NOT enough space
Location: Easy walk to the river. Ride the Riverboat, ferry and look for the " Horn Man". He was a highlight.
Lovely front desk/reception area, Efficient, pleasant staff. Great outdoor sitting areas, Concierge was most helpful, Breakfasts and fruit to go was nutritious. Easy walk to river and activity there. Stayed 5 days and only rented a Tahoe one day to go to Tybee.. Otherwise city transports were wonderful. Loved the tours and buildings.Restaurants in Historic area were WONDERFUL!
