Nice for the price!

Posted Apr 14, 2014
It was nice and comfortable. The bathroom was extremely small but the beds were comfortable. Warning: the walls are paper thin but we didn't realize that until the next morning when I heard people talking as they walked by.

Broken bathroom door, gnats in room. Overall, just run of the mill.

Friendly staff

Posted Apr 7, 2014
From the start the staff was helpful and pleasant. It remained consistent both nights we were there. We couldn't find a parking space the second night and had to park far away from our room. The room had garbage from the previous guests in the drawers but was otherwise clean. Breakfast was good!

Inside of hotel room was cleaner than outside

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: The inside of the room was clean and neat.
Cons: The outside of the facility with strangers hanging around with their pets was scary for a single lady.
Location: The location was not ideal, but this is not the side of town you would want to stay in. It was not well lit and there were a lot of people outside.
My room was at the end of the hotel which I did not like because I was traveling alone. There were a lot of strange guys hanging outside and a lot of them had dogs with them. It was scary, but once inside the hotel room with the door locked, I felt better. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

Old uncomfortable hotel

Posted Mar 29, 2014
The hotel was old and dirty looking. No elevator. Towels were threadbare. Breakfast was just ok. The coffee maker in the room was broken.

Helpful staff enhances comfy room/ convenient site

Posted Mar 26, 2014
Location: Abercorn St. is a direct route to downtown historic Savannah and leads right to a very convenient parking garage.
The staff was very helpful with a request to borrow scissors [ we needed to wrap a present in the lobby.]They were also very pleasant, courteous, and during a busy time of day, really hustled to get us checked in quickly. Unfortunately, the breakfast coffee tasted like instant, but that was the only negative of the weekend.

If you like "Nice" but avoid "Overpriced"

Posted Mar 16, 2014
Location on Abercorn makes it easy to get to most points of interest, 24 hour Denny's right next door with very close coffee shops and grocery stores if you prefer to eat that way. Allowing pets is great, but also means you may hear a bark or two from your neighbor, very close to air force base means hearing "taps"'played early a.m. (Depending on location of your room) and lots of helicopter fly-overs. All-in-all, exactly what you'd expect at this price, and maybe even better. Very comfortable and clean.
