Trendy yet tasteful hotelPosted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: Loved the style of it. Very hip. The location is great. The staff is wonderful and the spa was very nice.
Cons: I would love to council the bar and restaurant with the wine list. Not so good by the glass. Would like yard care to begin after 9:00am. Noisy early.
Location: Convenient to all historic squares, shopping, Forsyth Park, Savannah waterfront.
The Mansion is a beautiful hotel located directly next to Forayth Park. It is on the city's tour trolley route, walkable to downtown and waterfront, shuttle service, if you don't want to walk, to a sister hotel on the waterfront (the Bohemian). The rooms are beautiful, lots of amenities such as robes, honor bar, in room coffee, and good internet. Our room was spacious with a huge bathroom. The hotel has a great full service spa, restaurant, two bars, and a small outdoor pool to cool off in. The staff is first rate and always extremely helpful. I expect a lot when I pay a certain amount and this hotel didn't disappoint for this trip. One thing to be aware of is that this hotel is very popular for wedding receptions. There were at least two per day while we were there on the weekend. Very lively.

Mansion of Forsyth Park is the perfect name.Posted Jun 18, 2015
Pros: I liked the architecture, decor, and amenities.
Cons: The girls at the front desk and the doormen were very nice and professional. A couple others, not so much. The staff needs to match the hotel.
Location: It's at the south end of the historic district right on the park. There is a good coffee place and natural food store that also sells prepared food.
This property is a perfect mix of old and new. The building is beautiful, what you would expect for historic Savannah, with a mix of contemporary art and decor. This hotel is an extremely good value and I highly recommend it. When in the pool area you feel like you are in the Mediterranean. The restaurant, 700 Drayton, is also gorgeous with wonderful, exciting food. They provide a shuttle to their sister hotel that is on the river. The staff was professional and willing to help. My room was beautiful and had everthing I could possibly want. There is also an on-site spa and a fitness center. It has it all! Exquisite!

Our stay from 6/3-5, 2015Posted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: The location, the restaurant and the staff. Quiet street and beautiful hotel.
Cons: The shuttle bus!!!
Location: Excellent location. Went to river walk one day but really only had one day to sightsee and the weather did not cooperate.
Our stay was very nice. The staff at the hotel is excellent and hotel is beautiful and in a nice quiet street with lovely places to walk. We had excellent room service three times and ate at the hotel restaurant which was excellent also. The only thing that I would see as a negative is that the shuttle bus that the hotel provides to guests is terrible. For such a wonderful place to stay and then when a guest requires the use of the shuttle, it is very disappointing. The hotel needs to invest in a new shuttle!!!

Relaxing location, quiet boutique hotel with lovely fit out with everything we could need. Spent four nights with "the girls". Had easy access to main attractions and entertainment and used the facilities at the hotel to unwind and relax. Staff friendly and helpful and food delicious and affordable.

A brief stop in SavannahPosted May 7, 2015
Pros: The service, the service, the service. I have never been treated so well.
Location: The hotel is just across from the famous and beautiful Forsythe park. You are only a about a beautfiul 1 mile work to the riverfront and city market.
This is without a doubt the best service I have ever had at a hotel. From the doormen and valets to the front desk and inside staff I have never been treated better. My wife and I will only stay here from now on when we visit Savannah.

Funky hotel in an excellent locationPosted Apr 25, 2015
Pros: The decor, the funky bathroom, the location
Location: Very well-located for the historic quarter, and being next to Forsyth Park is very nice.
Having stayed in a traditional Savannah inn on my last visit, I decided, having seen this from the outside, to give it a try. I loved it! The location, opposite Forsyth park, is very pleasant, and within easy walking distance of the heart of the historic district. There was free on-road parking round the corner, which suited me fine. The hotel looks lovely - very modern, full of distinctive art work, and the room was great, if slightly unusual: the bathroom was part of the bedroom (although it could be curtained off), which might not suit everybody, but there was both a lovely bathtub and also a great shower. The room was also very spacious, well-designed and quiet - no noise from passing guests (always a potential hazard in US hotels!). The bar was very nice, with a pianist, although he was rather loud, so we took our drinks to the terrace outside.
