Emergency VacationPosted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: Boutique attention, stylish look, excellent service, comfortable rooms. No ghost sightings on premise.
Cons: Food in the lounge was fine, not awesome. Unexpected maintenance kept us from enjoying pool. But staff went to some length to make it right.
Location: Perfect location on Forsyth Park. Walking distance from everything, without all the riverfront hoo-hah. Krogers is just 2 blocks away.
Came down for an "emergency vacation" to unplug and unwind. Location is great, just out of the fray yet walking distance (bear in mind we like to walk) from everything we wanted to see. Darned near perfect experience except for the unannounced maintenance and repair and noise that kept us from enjoying the pool on the day we wanted to use it. Front desk staff was empathetic and proactive in alerting management, who took our disappointment seriously. Which is why we will return. Two thumbs up.

Please spray your shower heads with CLR. It will remove calcium deposits. Our shower head was clogged with calcium buildup.

Artsy hotel away from the action.Posted Apr 20, 2014
The hotel is not as close to river street as the posting hot lead you to believe. They do run a shuttle down to the waterfront though. The decor is very artsy and might require a specific kind of taste to appreciate. It's in the quieter section of downtown away from the action. If you want to be in the middle of everything I would recommend their sister hotel the Bohemia.

The artwork throughout hotel is beautiful. The design and overall feel very nice. Great location adjacent to the park and short walk to all sights! My son has stayed in many 5 star luxury hotels and usually doesn't think twice, but he was in awe with how nice it was!

Outstanding location on Forsyth Park.Posted Mar 19, 2014
We loved our time in Savannah, one of the best walking towns on earth! Beautiful mansions, lots of good restaurants, coffee houses, boutique shops. People love walking their dogs here, and why not! To get all of this, you MUST stay in the historic area, not on the riverfront. The location of Mansion on Forsyth is perfect, staff are friendly and accommodating. One area that did not live up to expectations (surprisingly) was housekeeping. Address this upfront and, we believe you will really enjoy your stay at The Mansion on Forsyth Park.

Great hotel and wonderful servicePosted Mar 1, 2014
A perfect getaway to celebrate our anniversary! Loved that we could walk into town and that a shuttle was quickly available to go back and forth. Breakfast at 700 Drayton was delicious and the afternoon drinks and fresh cookies divine ..would definitely return!
