“You get what you pay for...”
We booked this hotel for the Savannah Rock n' Roll Half Marathon because it was so close to downtown and so inexpensive - when we arrived at the hotel we knew why it was such a deal. The hotel is in the back of a Walgreens parking lot in a neighborhood that I would not feel comfortable walking alone at night (I live in downtown Baltimore, so I'm not usually timid of urban locations). The staff at the front desk was very nice, but once we got to our room we decided to check out immediately and find another hotel. The entire building smelled like decay, the beds had been made but nothing had been cleaned - the tables were sticky, the bathroom was moldy and there were more stains than I cared to count. We quickly checked out and found a hotel in midtown that was a little more expensive but met our expectations for safety and sanitation.
“not impressed”
we stay there 2 nights and when we got there the floor had not been vaccumed and when we left it still had not been vaccumed. The hallway smelled awful..
“good location for this money”
Good location, 5 minutes from Savanna, room has a refrigerator.
“You get what you pay.”
If you want a inexpensive hotel to sleep for a night, this fits into that category. But you get what you pay. I checked in and received my keys to my room. The room had two beds, one didn't have any pillows or comforter; the other had two pillows at the foot of the bed. One pillow was as flat as a folded up sweatshirt. There were one towel left to be used. The shower curtain was basically hanging on with 6-7 rings; and as soon as I pull the curtain to check the shower, couple more rings came undone. Needless to say, that room was not ready for anyone to stay. I got another room; second room was furnished with all necessities, but it smelled like smoke/weed. Bottom line, I got what I paid for.
“i will be back”
good place to stay
“don't think about it”
it was a good welcome as i arrived to the lobby. when i entered the room, everything seemed to be in order. however, it smelled funny, the bathroom wasnt clean, the floors werent entirely carpeted. and, to make things worse there were flees all over the room. when i requested a room change, i wasnt given one so i left the hotel and checked in at a different one.
“Pleasantly Surprised”
After the reviews I'd read, I was sceptical but after we got there I was pleasantly surprised. Our stay there was very nice, secure premises, friendly staff, great service, clean room. Not a 5 star hotel, but I wasn't expecting one at that price. I will definitely stay there next time we're in Savannah.
“Ok stay.. You get what you pay for.”
The hotel itself is very convenient to historic Savannah! The surrounding area has much to be desired, but the hotel itself is pretty secure. I'd recommend the hotel as a convenient BUDGET hotel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for families with small children, but that could just be me; while I found it adequate for myself and my fiancé, if we had children I would have chosen somewhere else.
“Chrissy from Ohio”
We asked to move our room because there was a party out side our room and I do mean a party of about 20+. The second room was filthy but it was very late and I couldn't sleep with the nosie from the first room and we were told they were sold out. Expedia should take this motel off it's list. It is well worth it to pay a few dollars more and stay somewhere else.
“bEEN BACK TWICE”
We had a wonderful stay. Our first night we got snowed in and couldn't go anywhere, we watched it snow out the window and enjoyed the company of the other guests. Our room was very clean, everything worked, we were very happy with our stay.
