Close to the beach

Location: Lots of restaurants nearby. An easy commute into Savannah
Typical beach hotel. This is the second time we have stayed here and found it to be quite noisy both times.

Excellent Location. Rooms a bit musty smelling. Could use alot of updating, however due to the location, this can be overlooked. Appears they are going to renovate in the next year. Will be a huge bonus for this hotel.

Service was excellent.

The room was dated, but service was excellent. We where told the hotel was being updated, we weren't interrupted. Everything was in walking distance, just yards from the beach, slept with balcony doors open to hear the waves crash, watched the sun rise and set.

Pros: Beach front
Cons: Update decor, beds, baths, etc.
Needs serious updating to compete with other motels nearby. Too expensive for quality of services.

I will visit this hotel again. Close to the beach close to all the stores great location lovely staff clean hotel.

Pirate Festival Weekend

My Daughter and I loved the Pirate Festival and wanted to spend the night this year. Ocean Plaza was perfect for us. The gentleman at the registration desk was excellent. Very nice. The location was great. Just a half a block to the parade and close to shops and the pirate activities. We will definitely stay there next year.

Since purchasing the hotel on July 31st, my family and I have been crazy getting settled in and adjusting to "island time". It has been a wonderful experience. Our first weekend of trying to unwind was "Pirates Fest"...it was AWESOME! We had so much fun and cannot wait until next year. We really appreciate you staying with us and posting a review on Expedia. By next year's big event, we will have completed a ton of improvements. I can't wait to share them with you. Was able to check in early on arrival. Ended up booking a second night and then re booked for final night after our return from Georgia sightseeing for our flight out the next day. Loved the pool options and oceanfront. Kitchens are great. It would be nice if they provided paper towels though.I would stay here again.

Shabby not chic motel

Non-smoking room smelled like smoke. The bathroom was dirty. Overpriced even though we got a discount. Walls are super thin, you can hear everything. Maintance men came in and literally pushed their way into our room to 'fix the door', made us feel very uncomfortable. Only redeeming quality was that it's on the beach. Next time will fork over the extra $40 to stay in a nicer hotel on the island.

I'm so sorry that we failed to provide you with acceptable overnight accommodations. I respect our guests right to smoke and genuinely wished that they would respect our hotel's rules and regulations. The truth is...most do. There are exceptions and unfortunately it impacts future guests. I am VERY sorry. Since purchasing the hotel on July 31st, we have implemented a deep cleaning and preventative maintenance program. The bathrooms are clean, but we need new tubs, grout and caulking. We are doing all three this coming off-season when we will be investing 1.5 million dollars in Phase One of a three year improvement plan. Since your visit we have reduced and improved our maintenance team. I'm confident that you would enjoy a return visit in 2015. Please consider giving us a second opportunity. Nice place to stay at Tybee Island

Pros: Location, quiet, free internet that worked!
Cons: Room was a little dated. Would have loved to have a microwave.
Location: Right on the beach. Rented bikes, ate great seafood.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was quiet and clean. The location is excellent. We would come back.
