Out of SeasonPosted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: Location - for summer bookings.
Cons: Lots: value-added items (continental breakfast to start, coffee in room, etc)
Location: Close to Tybee beach, lots of bars/restaurants, etc.
This was booked as were to leave Florida for the 1st night to drive home to Canada. Upon room entry, we noticed the balcony door was unlocked. It took a bit of effort to jimmy the door for locking but it left an uneasy feeling. It seems previous guests attempted to pry the door open because of the markings on the door frame. Also, for the price, comparing to other competitors, there was no coffee maker or coffee, or breakfast offerings. The room was suitable & clean, bed was comfortable. Our view overlooked the parking lot but given it was off-season, we felt it was over-charged for what we received.

good place on the beach, close to food & bars.Posted Jan 4, 2015
Location: bicycle rental, beach, swimming, pool, good food close by, great location!
good place on the beach, close to food & bars. it was clean, very friendly staff, and recently was bought and taken over by a new company that seems set on improving the facility. I'D go back and stay there again for sure--good value for the location on the beach!

Our 16th Wedding AnniversaryPosted Dec 14, 2014
I was looking for a place to stay on Tybee on the beach. This place was perfect. My wife and I both enjoyed it. The only problem was the ice machine was broken on our floor and the drink machine didn't have any drinks in it.

Cons: update rooms from the 80's
Location: bars and the beach, what else is needed?
The location is ideal. So the price I paid I was not expecting high end. It is a older hotel, and shows its age, but for the price and location I do not think you can get a better deal. Everything was in walking distance, and we spent most of our time on the island, not in the room. I got what I expected and all was fine.

OK!Posted Nov 10, 2014
Front desk staff was excellent. Room is spacious. Big hole in carpet at bathroom door and moldy grout under counter in bathroom. Balcony had an EXCESSIVE amount of bird droppings.

Only stayed for one night. It was fine. Affordable, nothing extreme in either direction.

TiredPosted Nov 8, 2014
Nice location. The hotel is just tired. The rooms need to be renovated, New paint, carpet, and a general modernizing. That's not to say that it wasn't acceptable, it was. Just needs updating.
